Okay. I'm Brandenburg, and I allied with Wurzburg, Saxony and Magdeburg. Soon after, Poland attacks Prussia and the Teutonic Order. While Poland is busy, I declare war on Poland, and move my troops in. My allies join me in the war, but they never do anything with their troops. They just let them sit there, sometimes not even building more troops. Is there any reason for this, or any way I can make them get moving?

I suppose so... it's just odd, being that it's June 1419, and our relations are only +20. The Teutonic alliance all mobilize, even Mecklenburg, Bremen and Holstein... Meanwhile my allies don't do a thing... of course, that is somewhat advantagous in that I get all the war spoils... and yet disturbing in case a large army of 40,000 Polish cav come by. :(

The german princedoms in particular have a tendency to just sit there with their armies.

No worries for me. Just makes the nation to get all the territories of victory!

They've got a lot at stake if they rush armies everywhere...they get less conservative as they expand. Bayern at 4 territories is a terror in my current GC.

I had almost _excactly_ similar war against Poland as Brandenburg. My "loyal" allies joined the war and failed to do anything to help me. I guess they correctly realised that there would be nothing to gain (for them), Brandenburg would win the war anyway and in order to maintain good relations, they might just as well declare war on Poland.
