While the games are generally serious, Paradox often sneaks in one or two humorous aspects into their games, ranging from playing as Polar Bears in Vicky 2 to CKII Assassinations emulating JFK's. This being the case, we can expect that there will be at least one really silly humorous easter egg. To pass the time, let us try to guess what it is. I have a feeling that events will have subtle jokes when really ahistorical stuff happens, but I am also sure there is some stupid gameplay. My idea:
If Japan manages to research all vehicle techs, they can build a super kawaii giant robot.

Well Crusader Kings has a very cool omen storyline where your child is the spawn of satan. I think there is some Cthulu references, plus the ever present comet sighted.

Perhaps there could be a war of the worlds reference? Perhaps if you decide not to step in after the Wells broadcast and have them issue an apology it can lead to huge riots or weird happenings in the US as they wait for the mother ship?

I do find that HOI is a bit more serious than the other games though and I am not sure that the player base would be willing to accept anything except a very fleeting event that really didn't affect much.

HoI2 has a "cheat" code for an alien invasion, they're near invincible after a while, spawning multiple latest technology units and eventually conquering the entire continent. I assume that Darkest Hour and Arsenal of Democracy will have the same cheat. I'm not sure about HoI3 though.

Any alien invasion should just be a Hearts of Iron IV's version of the Sunset Invasion.

But ONLY if the Aliens attack America fist, starting with an event where the Washington Monument or Statue of Liberty is incinerated by a laser. Aliens ALWAYS attack America and those specific landmarks.
