In game ancient civilizations(almost all important ones) got their own relics left behind world, strong artifacts that can change your entire play style to someting else by chance
but... we never get to make one
sure we build structres that can harvest black holes but not investing in our own relic is very sad as you can make someting that will help you in your own way too
let us set up perks for 1 relic only we can create each game that will cost influance to and metarials depending on its traits (if you are building shroud related one you will need to have zro)
It can work like species, we will have amount of points we can dedicate to relic and create one by either spending for a very strong trait or multiple "nice" traits

edit:I say it should cost like 1000 influance since it will be embodiment of your civilization. It will be "story" of your empire after all in a way

as a bonus if you destroy a civilization and they had this relic they created you will claim it too by %100 chance(not capital, you must end war as war leader and they will no longer exist after peace deal or take their last planet at total war) :) wont matter too much since all relics share cooldown

I was going to say that new relics can be added through mods but I like this idea.
