Going into the elections of 1905 the rise of Anton Drexler’s National Communist movement coupled with Trotsky’s still powerful support from much of the urban proletarian and the angry voices of the Old Right combined to make it an emotionally charged affair. We support the creation of a General Assembly of the Comintern. We believe that each Republic should be guaranteed one member of the Assembly. Republic may then receive an additional member for every 5 million citizens. The Chairman shall then be chosen by the Comintern Assembly.
This is the first step towards the Socialist World Republic Comrades! Let us not surrender this opportunity in the name of petty nationalism.
Foreign Policy:
We must do anything and everything we can to overthrow the bourgeoisie Empires of Britain and America and the feudal Empires of China and Japan. At this time this cannot be done by the Red Army. If Britain collapses then so too shall America. However whilst the Revolutionaries were born from the peasantry and failed to gain support outside of rural areas the National Communists were if anything stronger in the cities. Whilst the True Germans had effectively been an aristocratic throwback of the former ruling classes dictating down to the proletarians this movement was one that had grown up from the proletarians themselves and truly understood their desires. The new movement was here to stay.

If Trotsky is victorious in this election then our economy shall merely collapse once more. End the cycle of unemployment and political bickering! For all that the ruling Marxist elite say, and they are a ruling elite, during the 30 years when the Trade Unions existed in this Republic our economy went from strength to strength. Since they became political in 1880 and were destroyed in 1884 our economy has gone from crisis to crisis.
Our proposal is simple. Councilism is too regionalists, too small scale and encourages competition between different Soviets – otherwise known as collective capitalism. Planned economics encouraged bureaucratic corruption and economic autocracy that gave the workers and farmers little say in their affairs. The issue of Union corruption by 1880 is one that we must address. It is true that the Unions were horrible shades of what were once the centre of the working class movement by the time they achieved political power, it is true they abused that power once they had it. But that is the centre of one of the main reasons for Union corruption. Trade Unions should be economic bodies, not involved in the People’s Party. Meanwhile another source of corruption was the fact that the Unions were forced to raise funds from the workers themselves. The solution is simple! Each Trade Union (formed to control a specific industry) should be subsidised according to the needs of their industry in a similar way to how Soviets were subsidised to control industry under the Luxemburgists and early Trotskyites. We do not want to remove all power from the Soviets, we only want to transfer economic power to the Unions.
Unlike Soviets the Unions can act on an industry wide and national level. This saves them from the pitfalls of regionalism and allows them to make decisions based on the state of the entire industry. However, unlike the monolithic Marxist state, they are still able to interact directly with the workers and still give the workers direct control over their economy. Similarly to how Soviets are elected we also propose that Trade Union officials be elected by the factory workers.
One final advantage of the Trade Union over statism and Councilism is the fact that the Union gives the worker power. Under Councilism the workers are too divided to stand up to the state and they regional strikes make little impact on central government in Cologne. Councilism divides. Under the Marxist total state the worker is simply unable to strike. Statism oppresses. Under Unionism the workers are united across the Republic and are able to stand as one to ensure that the interests of the workers’ state never contradict the interests of the workers. Unionism unites!

Reforms:
Freedom for all to choose their belief. If the Marxist has to force the worker to give up belief in God then he is an oppressor and no socialist.
We should give the Poles, Czechs, Walloons and Flemish each a chance to vote on whether or not they wish to remain a part of the Republic. It is the right of no nation to oppress another. We are a predominantly German nation and by refusing the rights of these peoples to autonomy we are becoming like the Empires of Europe we destroyed. Freedom for the minorities!
But we cannot merely liberate the minorities Comrades. No we must liberate the German people too. We propose a revival of nationalism. We call for each and every German to have the right to go out into a public square and declare ‘’I am a German!’’ and not feel shame, we call for every German to have the right to feel pride for his Fatherland and not be attacked by Marxist or Anarchist thugs, we call for the right of the German people to be the German people. Freedom for the Germans!
On our final call for reform we must deal with an issue that many people wish to ignore. We must deal with an issue that most like to keep at the back of their minds. We must deal with the emancipation of the Jews. We, the National Communists, see the Jewish people as our Comrade workers, our fellow proletarians and brothers in the Revolution. But we do not see them as our Comrade Germans. Just as we call for a homeland for Poles, Czechs, Walloons and the Flemish we call for an end to almost two millennia of wandering. We call for a Jewish homeland. For centuries the Jewish people of Europe and America have been treated as second class citizens, have faced pogroms and been driven from their homes. They have always been in the minority. We will not force anyone to migrate to the new Jewish homeland. We merely feel that it is our responsibility to give the Jews such a homeland. One cannot forget the important role Jews and Zionists have played throughout the history of the World Revolution and we demand that they be rewarded with the homeland they have desired for untold centuries.
Better still we have found the perfect location for the new Zion. The ancient land of Israel. This land is currently under the Imperial occupation of the Kingdom of Egypt. Thus we would be liberating more territory be creating the new Israel there. Here a new Socialist Zion shall be born. Freedom for the Jews!
Comintern Policy:
The Comintern should remain in its current state. An alliance of the world’s socialist powers. Any attempt to centralise it would only lead to the tyranny of one group over the others. Whether this would be the Germans, the Russians or the French is immaterial. What matters is that we would not be free.
Speaking of national freedom we demand the end to the multi-ethnic social-Imperial powers. The VSVR we have already dealt with, the CSR and Russia we have not. We must also deal with compensation to the Arab people for the use of parts of Palestine as the base for the new Red Zion. We propose an end to a thousand years of disunity – we propose a pan Arab state. This state would be formed by the merging of the Hedjaz, Yemen, Oman and Abu Dhabi. Together with this the Tribal state of Nedj shall be conquered and merged into Arabia. The Arabs of the Turkish social-Empire (or CSR) shall join this Union with Syria and Iraq becoming the Northern territories of Arabia. Finally all other land in the Levant under Egyptian Imperial rule shall be transferred to Arabia with the exception of Israel. Finally an Arabian nation.
The rest of the CSR would simply be Turkey and the Balkans. The Serb, Greek and Romanian lands should all be absorbed into the existing states (with Romania and Wallachia uniting under one banner). The Bulgarians and Albanians should then be given their freedom. As to avoid ethnic tensions Cyprus should be a separate state entirely. Turkish ruled India should be incorporated into the Indian Republic.
That rotten edifice of the Russian Empire is the most disgusting creation the Revolution has ever produced. Not only have we allowed a multi-ethnic Empire that allows the Russians to dominate countless millions of non-Russians to survive but we have created a force that shall one day destroy Germany. Liberate all the nationalities of the Soviet Union.
Trotsky’s policies in Africa have perhaps been his only truly socialist ones. If we were to grant West Africa independence today it would be a viable state. But what of the rest? Africa is still developing and not until the entire continent has moved on from tribalism can we leave the continent in confidence that it can stand on its own two feet.

The most vocal of Trotsky’s critics they form a strong pro-democracy, pro-peace ticket. An anti-Trotsky solution that does not involve the nationalism of the National Communism.

Economic Policy:
We wish to restore Council Communism. This is the system that gives the workers and farmers the greatest say in the economy and is the system that best prepares our Republic for the reduction in the power of the state.
Reform Policy:
How can we allow Trotsky to abuse our Republic’s institutions? The answer is simple, we have no way of stopping him. If elected the Democratic Anarchists will introduce a constitution that properly defines and limits the powers of the Chairman, Central Committee and Assembly. We must ensure that the Assembly is the most powerful body (as it represents the people), the Assembly should then be guided by the Central Committee (as it is a more concise representation of the Assembly) which is in turn guided by the Chairman. The Chairman should therefore have to first have the support of the Committee and then the Assembly. Our democracy shall be secure. We must also ensure that any and all other avenues to the destruction of our Socialist Republic are dealt with. Protection for Soviet power, for workers rights, for freedom of speech. All the battles both Marxists and Anarchists alike have fought for 55 years for are under threat and we must have them enshrined in an official and binding document.

We support the proposal for a General Assembly of the Comintern. Democracy and freedom for the entire earth!
We also support the idea of a consititution for all Comintern states. This document, much looser than our own constitution, demands that member states: protect democracy and essential freedoms; ensure that workers rights are protected. These shall be the only constraints, but they are vital ones for the Revolution.

No war! No more killing! No more trenches! No more gas attacks! No more charges at machine gun nests! No more provocations!
There must be peace in our time. If there is not then the entire earth is doomed to a conflict infinitely worse than the one we have already experienced. As time ticks forwards men across the world are developing new methods of killing other men more effectively. Worse still the British, Americans, Chinese, Mexicans and Central Americans seem to be united in one thing if nothing else – we cannot be allowed to expand further.
Any possible provocations must be avoided. Our good relations with the Labour Party in Britain and Socialist Party of America are almost broken but can still be retrieved if we act responsibly. Peace can still be won.

One cannot forget the important role Jews and Zionists have played throughout the history of the World Revolution and we demand that they be rewarded with the homeland they have desired for untold centuries.

Comintern Policy:
The Comintern should remain in its current state. An alliance of the world’s socialist powers. Any attempt to centralise it would only lead to the tyranny of one group over the others. Whether this would be the Germans, the Russians or the French is immaterial. What matters is that we would not be free.
Speaking of national freedom we demand the end to the multi-ethnic social-Imperial powers. The VSVR we have already dealt with, the CSR and Russia we have not. We must also deal with compensation to the Arab people for the use of parts of Palestine as the base for the new Red Zion. We propose an end to a thousand years of disunity – we propose a pan Arab state. This state would be formed by the merging of the Hedjaz, Yemen, Oman and Abu Dhabi. Together with this the Tribal state of Nedj shall be conquered and merged into Arabia. The Arabs of the Turkish social-Empire (or CSR) shall join this Union with Syria and Iraq becoming the Northern territories of Arabia. Finally all other land in the Levant under Egyptian Imperial rule shall be transferred to Arabia with the exception of Israel. Finally an Arabian nation.
The rest of the CSR would simply be Turkey and the Balkans. The Serb, Greek and Romanian lands should all be absorbed into the existing states (with Romania and Wallachia uniting under one banner). The Bulgarians and Albanians should then be given their freedom. As to avoid ethnic tensions Cyprus should be a separate state entirely. Turkish ruled India should be incorporated into the Indian Republic.
That rotten edifice of the Russian Empire is the most disgusting creation the Revolution has ever produced. Not only have we allowed a multi-ethnic Empire that allows the Russians to dominate countless millions of non-Russians to survive but we have created a force that shall one day destroy Germany. Liberate all the nationalities of the Soviet Union.
Trotsky’s policies in Africa have perhaps been his only truly socialist ones. If we were to grant West Africa independence today it would be a viable state. But what of the rest? Africa is still developing and not until the entire continent has moved on from tribalism can we leave the continent in confidence that it can stand on its own two feet.

Aside for our plans in the Middle East we see no need for further conflict. We should not antagonise the bourgeoisie powers, lest we want another Great War. Perhaps Trotsky shall only be satisfied by another 15 million to sacrifice to at the statue of Lenin?

Prospective Chairman: Karl Liebknecht
Luxemburgists support for Trotsky has wavered since 1900. By 1905 they are equally likely to look Right as Left. On top of this they have struggled to regain the popular support they had under Rosa Luxemburg – many of those who do not support Trotsky see them as collaborators and those that do simply vote Marxist-Leninist.

Economic Policy:
Trotsky may blame the economic trouble we have faced on Council Communism. But he is merely trying to deflect blame from the true cause of our economic difficulties – the Great War.
During the stability of the 1890s Council Communism thrived. In the stability that the Luxemburgists can ensure in the future Council Communism can thrive again.
The answer is neither the State nor the Union, it is the Soviet.

We should improve our safety standards in places of work.

We support the creation of the General Assembly of the Comintern. The ultimate goal of the revolutionaries of 1850 was to create a worldwide socialist state. Now we can finally stop fighting for our survival and start building that state.

After dismal electoral performances since 1890 both factions were faced with despair when Trotsky was elected in 1900. Following this they united but could not stop the expulsions of the True Germans, nor the return of Lenin style Marxist statism nor the Great War. The most vocal of Trotsky’s critics they form a strong pro-democracy, pro-peace ticket. An anti-Trotsky solution that does not involve the nationalism of the National Communism.
Position within Party: Moderate Old Right
Economic Policy:
We wish to restore Council Communism. This is the system that gives the workers and farmers the greatest say in the economy and is the system that best prepares our Republic for the reduction in the power of the state.
Reform Policy:
How can we allow Trotsky to abuse our Republic’s institutions? The answer is simple, we have no way of stopping him. If elected the Democratic Anarchists will introduce a constitution that properly defines and limits the powers of the Chairman, Central Committee and Assembly. We must ensure that the Assembly is the most powerful body (as it represents the people), the Assembly should then be guided by the Central Committee (as it is a more concise representation of the Assembly) which is in turn guided by the Chairman. The Chairman should therefore have to first have the support of the Committee and then the Assembly. Our democracy shall be secure. We must also ensure that any and all other avenues to the destruction of our Socialist Republic are dealt with. Protection for Soviet power, for workers rights, for freedom of speech. All the battles both Marxists and Anarchists alike have fought for 55 years for are under threat and we must have them enshrined in an official and binding document.
Comintern Policy:
We support the proposal for a General Assembly of the Comintern. Democracy and freedom for the entire earth!
We also support the idea of a consititution for all Comintern states. This document, much looser than our own constitution, demands that member states: protect democracy and essential freedoms; ensure that workers rights are protected. These shall be the only constraints, but they are vital ones for the Revolution.
Foreign Policy:
No war! No more killing! No more trenches! No more gas attacks! No more charges at machine gun nests! No more provocations!
There must be peace in our time. If there is not then the entire earth is doomed to a conflict infinitely worse than the one we have already experienced. As time ticks forwards men across the world are developing new methods of killing other men more effectively. Worse still the British, Americans, Chinese, Mexicans and Central Americans seem to be united in one thing if nothing else – we cannot be allowed to expand further.
Any possible provocations must be avoided. Our good relations with the Labour Party in Britain and Socialist Party of America are almost broken but can still be retrieved if we act responsibly. Peace can still be won.

The Anarcho-Kadonists represent a new and vibrant strain of the radical Anarchists. They demand the immediate beginning of the process of dissolving the state and are a viciously anti-Trotsky as anti-Drexler.

Economic Policy:
The Soviets are the single most important facet of our Republic. They are the basis of our next step in the development towards a stateless society Comrades. Any attack on them is an attack on the proletariat themselves. Any further attack on them by that vile Tyrant – Trotsky – shall be met with force.
If Trotsky is re-elected every true defender of the proletariat must take up arms to liberate us from the Marxist statists.
Reform Policy:
The time has now come for us to begin the process of ending the state. We must begin by reducing the size of the bureaucracy and the army. All future military expansions must be made in the navy. With no threat to us from our neighbours we no longer require a huge standing army. We only need a fleet to protect us from Britain and America.
This is also beneficial for our internal situation – a fleet cannot be used to defeat the proletarians in land as the Marxist used the army in the Civil War.
Comintern Policy:
We reject another layer of state by creating a Comintern Parliament. Why build up the structure that must soon be destroyed?
This is clearly a ploy by the Trotskyists to gain greater power over the Republic for his Marxist-Leninist cronies are the majority beyond this Republic’s borders. The Luxemburgists and ‘Democratic Anarchists’ have merely fallen for Trotsky’s lies.

15 million. 15 million. That is a figure few can comprehend. Yet Trotsky can. He sees it as a worthy cost for creating an Empire stretching from the Pacific coast of Siberia to the Pacific coast of Peru. We do not feel any amount of territory is worth so much suffering.

Comrades, this decision was a difficult one, but in the end it was inevitable. Trotsky's hatred of the soviets is intolerable, and his authoritarian political style more so. Liebknecht is merely his lackey. The National Communists combine the worst bourgeois reactionism with a token coat of red paint. The Anarcho-Kadonists seek the premature dissolution of the state. Once again, forced into an uncomfortable decision, for the first time in my entire life I vote for the

Marxist economics have been proven to work, with the rapid economic recovery after the war and the rapid growth of industry in Africa being proof of that. The Marxist-Leninists are the only faction seeking to provide every man, woman and child with full, comprehensive healthcare. It is clear Trotsky is the best choice for the next term.
A vote for the National "Communists" is a vote for the True Germans professing quasi-socialist economics. And their policies drip with racism, and in particular anti-Semitism. Not only do they seek to deport all the Jews, a population grouping that is in the millions, to a region in another continent entirely, but to do so they would gladly invade and evict another group of people who have lived there for many centuries now.

Constitution? You know that the IDEA OF THE CONSTITUTION IS TO DEFEND THE RIGHTS OF THE ENTIRE POPULATION, protecting individuals from the state.
Revolt? The only successful revolt we have had was that launched by Marxists.

Bloodless revolution is not possible. The proletarian must overthrow the bourgeoisie or the monarchs at some point, and much blood will be shed. To think revolution is possible through democracy is naive at best, especially in places such as Japan and China, where views even slightly different from the state's are crushed under heel, never mind ideas which are entirely opposite.
We have protected the people of Africa from British imperialism, have brought them social welfare, high-quality education and economic prosperity. I fail to see how that can be conceived as exploitation.
The National Communists are responsible for bringing anti-Semitism to the forefront of politics now. I feel justified in blaming them for it.
And yes, while that may be one purpose for a constitution, it also codifies the extent that the state holds power. If you Anarchists are so anti-Statist, why do you want to cement it's power in law?
And for your last points: the first is completely irrelevant in the matter at hand. I do not see where your second goes. Marxist-Leninism is not the antithesis of freedom and safety, and is in fact entirely compatible. Just because you disagree with them does not make them tyrants and murderers.
