Blanqui will be no more danger to the state should the UC front win. Would you risk the deaths of tens of thousands just to make sure that one man is brought to justice?

This is what i've said. Perhaps I wasn't clear: I don't much care about Blanqui, i despise and hate the system he created. The AKVD have no place in free socialist society. And UC doesn't promise abolishing this untouchable class of fire eaters.

And a combined Anarchist/UC platform would outnumber him with ease.

You do have a point there, but we did touch the subject as Blanqui is becoming old and will therefore sooner or later die. Though I would personally approve and recommend the removal of the AKVD in the next election.

I cast my vote for the United Cooperationists.
Victory for either the Anarchists or the Marxists will result in civil war; a civil war that will achieve nothing except for allowing our glorious republic to be carved up by the monarchs of Europe! Diplomacy and unity are the ways to utopia, comrades, not murder and war.

I cast my vote for the United Cooperationists.

Comrades, the conflict between the Anarchists and the Centralists has finally come to a head, and we now walk a tightrope.

If we fall one way, a centralized state power will crush all freedoms and see a Blanqui dictatorship rise to power. I think I'd prefer not to live to see such a day, but I suspect I will not have a choice in the matter.

If we fall the other way, an Anarchist revolution will dismantle the socialist infrastructure that has served our workers so well. Our socialist paradise will fall before the drumbeat of ideology, socialist voices marginalized as "Blanqui supporters".

Either way, if it truly comes to a revolution, we will fall one way or the other! Either the anarchists win, or the marxists win, regardless of what the party and people decide! If we vote for one, we merely determine which is advantaged and which is underdog, which the rebel and which the instrument of the state!

This is unacceptable to a modern republic. The republic must stand for a diversity of opinion, for the voice of moderates to seek common ground between extremes, and for compromise and debate to be the alternatives to bloodshed and violence.

We have fought with many enemies to our state, but now we create enemies within ourselves. Though I have often supported war in the past, I have never countenanced violence against the proletariat! Merely against the monarchs and despots of Europe and Germany.

The United Cooperationists seek to restore compromise to the system, to encourage debate and free voting, and to seek an end to extremism. To this end, we ask those who wish our republic to stay a republic to vote United Cooperationist.

We will bring both sides to the table to settle their differences peacefully and without bloodshed, as any civilized people should. If they do not want peace, then we shall bring them to the table anyway. If their armies march on each other, then we shall intervene decisively, and if I may be permitted, I would lead such an intervention myself. My military experience dates back to the formation of the republic itself, and though I have not lead so much as a brigade since the formation of the republic, do not doubt that I have the tactical expertise to preserve our troops and defeat any force that seeks to overthrow the republic and enforce their own order. A house rent down the middle cannot stand!

We cannot destroy either ideology, and to be honest we do not wish to try. We wish both viewpoints to be shared openly, to challenge their rivals' policies and thus expose their weaknesses. We do not wish for this republic to be divided among partisan lines, but opened up to reasonable debate and compromise, particularly as an alternative to violence. Most importantly, we wish for both sides to agree that compromise is not only desirable, but healthy in a modern republic.

We urge moderates of all stripes to vote United Cooperationist, for if we do not, moderation truly will be dead.

State control of industry and unions needs to be loosened. The revolution must spread to all of our Germanic brothers still being oppressed by the ancient regimes. With moderation in our Party, we can overcome internal conflict.
Vote German Socialists

Unity

Workers of the Republic ~ LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!

Was it Marx or Bakunin who stained the fields of the Rhineland red?
Was it Blanqui or Proudhan who built our factories?

No! It was the workers!

The workers built this revolution with their blood and sweat and they alone can protect it!

Blanqui and Bakunin would tear our revolution apart like two dogs fighting over meat.
But the revolution is not a prize to be won, it is us, the workers of the republic!
If a man tells you to strike your brother he is no socialist!
He is a king, no matter what name he may give himself!
We are a people united, the first people ever united in freedom.
No class, no race and no religion comes between us.
No man can sever that bond so long as we remember that we, the workers, are indivisible!

It is up to you to safeguard our revolution from discord! Vote for Unity!
Support the United Cooperationists and protect our revolution!

What we stand for!
We must fulfill our promises to the workers by putting the nation above petty bickering! We embrace any idea that will strengthen our revolution. The state can build factories, but the Unions are needed to protect the workers of those factories. We must not shed the blood of our people in vain but we should not leave our brothers in chains when we can set them free. We must be unified in our revolution but we must allow all to have a voice. We must fulfill our promises to the worker but we must do so from a stable platform.
We know that the workers of this nation do not seek division, do not seek leaders who fight amongst each other. Our leaders were chosen to unite the workers of this world and we promise to fulfill that promise!
We are not Marxists or Anarchists, Socialists or Liberals! We are all revolutionaries, working together to build a great nation!

On so called "collaboration" with the Marxists.
They say that we are collaborators for not wanting to spill the blood of our fellow revolutionaries? But is it evil to live in peace with your brother? No! We must embrace our brother and work together in all things! It is "collaboration" as they put it that won our revolution. It is "collaboration" that built our nation. "Collaboration" feeds our families and tends to the infirm! If a man calls you a collaborator for working with your fellow revolutionary, thank him!
We work proudly with the Marxists but we do not take orders from them! Remember, Necazian, the tireless champion of the people's rights, is one of the pillars of our movement!

On so called "traitorous" association with the Anarchists.
They ask why we champion a free press and a reconcilliation with the Anarchist. But there is nothing behind these questions! Does one need a reason to fulfil the promises of socialism? When our revolution began we promised our workers a free press when the time was right. That time is now! We would be wounding, not protecting, our revolution by denying the just demands of even one of its' members! Our revolution promised to make the workers free, not silence them with force!
Freedom for all people is for all member of our revolution, not just the Anarchists! This is why Engels who gave Socialism its' spark now takes up the banner of our movement!

On the split with the German Socialists.
The German Socialist party is unified with us in seeing that we must end the intra-party strife and work together. There should be no doubt that we will gladly work with them after the election. Our differences are not so large and both of us have noble aims. But the UC has a chance of winning this election while the Socialists do not. Thus we plead with our Socialist brothers, safeguard the revolution and support us in this election.

On the future of our Revolution.
We can insure the continued strength of our revolution by working together. Give the workers the tools he needs to continue to make this revolution strong! Work with each other instead of fighting! Our nation grows stronger every day because of the work of you, the worker. We will aid the worker however we can and ensure the worker recieves the rewards he deserves. We have made great strides as a unified nation and nothing should stop that unity now!

The world will be unified as the workers of every nation join together as brothers! But we must first work together as brothers to safeguard our revolution! The peoples of the world cry our for our revolution! Safeguard the Revolution! Answer their call!

Thank you to Keynes2.0 for the above letter putting forward the UC view.

Latest polls:

UC: 15

Anarchists: 12

Marxists: 9

German Socialists: 8

The Marxist really need a surge in the polls around about now if they want to win this election.

United Cooperationists! It is about time that Marx's ever growing ego gets taken down a notch! The American's though they be Capitalist dogs, have the right idea when it comes to their president serving only two terms, lest he become a dictator. We do not want Marx to become a dictator. Then we are no better than the Russians or Austrians with their emperors.

A. That hasn't been signed into law yet (FDR was elected thrice)
B. Marx isn't running, Blanqui is.

A fine essay from keynes2.0!

It should be very interesting if UC wins the Party's elections -- all of the bickering between various factions will be put on a high stage! The Party would be dominated by a motley faction. I mean, it's already dangerous enough being on the Central Committee, can you imagine the Anarchist wing of the UC having internal disagreements with the Engelists? Throw in Blanqui and a few anarchist bomb-throwers, you've got yourself a recipe for disaster.

Sounds like a terrific reason to vote for a faction which is organized based on ideology, rather than fear! Vote Collective Anarchist!
