You can keep it in your sig but your can't post in any other thread campaigning for your faction in this AAR or just plain advertising it.

First of all: WOHOO!
I am going to love this AAR, that's for sure. I must say I expect this to become the single-most awesome AAR for Vicky II right now. The interactivity aspect, combined with your experience and skill on AARs and the absolutely intriguing subject matter of a communist rhineland state just holds such an enormous promise!

But you're planning to hold these polls on more occasions than just elections, right? Because, although the Marxists are closest to me atm, I do not agree with them on several points (politically/philosophically aswell as on gameplay terms) and it'd be a shame not to be given the chance of deciding across faction borders on issues such as religious freedom, economic policy, national focus and so on.
That said, I would love to see polls not only on actual in-game decisions, but on issues concerning the overall narrative aswell. This would be extremely nice because it could enable us to decide on aspects of "The Revolution" that couldn't be possibly implemented via gameplay (for example monetary policy or the exact nature of the chain of decision-making). This could flesh things out in an incredibly cool way. But, of course, it could also be way to much...
EDIT: Oh and would you be willed to hand out your starting save or the files you edited to get the VSVR into the game? Or to give a brief how-to? Because I'd SO LOVE to start a new single-player campaign with a similar premise...

I think it's a little (110 years) too early for that. Besides, a wall will only deter the throngs of people emigrating en masse to our Rhineland socialist paradise
Alright, I may be sounding plain stupid right now but I just want to make sure I get it: we can keep the sigs, but we can't outright advertise in our posts? If so, then that's fine, I had no intention of doing such anyways.
Yes, so you can have a sig which says "Vote GERMAN SOCIALISTS" if you like, but you couldn't have a "Vote GERMAN SOCIALISTS" thread or go around posting "Vote GERMAN SOCIALISTS" in threads other than this one.
A social group would be acceptable i'd assume, but don't hold me to that.

But isn’t that just positive though? If they stay in their own country, they will make a revolution there and free the oppressed masses over in their own country. That would mean Allies! Soon after that it will spread even more and then all the workers of the world will be free and unite! This is what we, The Trade Unionists, want but for some reason the others don’t those selfish Marxist, anarchist and German socialists! Why can’t the people see the greatness of trade unions?
Pah! The Trade Unionists are irrelevant! The Socialists and the Anarchists already promise to give the Unions most of the power over the economy, with the occasional special circumstance situation requiring the state to provide subsidies or resources for a new workplace.

I do know what you're talking about! How the Socialists deserve to be in power, without the meddling of Trade Unions!
The workers already have their say in how they are ruled - the Trade Unions need not be in power for that.
Germany will be unified under a single, socialist banner - the Trade Unions need not be in power for that.
The ruling class will either abandon their ways and became proletariots like the rest of us, or leave - the Trade Unions need not be in power for that.

How can you call the Anarchists selfish when they are willing to increase the power of the unions? Not even the unions themselves would go so far.

Change to he voting system all depend on how things develop. They could be changed by the way you vote or by a flight of fancey I have whilst writing an update.
As for my edited files, I'm not actually sure how to post the changes I made on the web. What I did was edited, extensively, all Germany's files, the files for government type, the files for ideology and ofc the province. I used that guide when I was making the mod and it was very useful. However I mostly had to experiment to see if things worked in game.
@Seek: Tanzhang is right. You can keep your sig as it is, just don't go posting about this AAR elsewhere in the forum. As for usergroups ... I'm not sure. I don't think there is anythign wrong with it per se but it is kinda a slippery slope so I'd discourage it.
Tommorow at 3PM UK time the polls close.
The current vote tally is 43 - much more than I expected.
For the first time in my end of day tallies the German Socialists lead outright. Meanwhile the Anarchists seem to have fallen off the pace - it'll take a miracle for Proudhon's guys to secure the Chairmanship and the party mandate.

Marxists - 15
Anarchists - 11
