I don't know that Bengal will ever really be a sea power. I mean for all that I start off holding a coastal trade node have I really bothered much with it?
Small tip when fighting the Ming for those who are interesting. Attack one of their most minor tributaries. They will get involved but Ming won't have allies or anything really to help.
I am not too familiar with the mechanic that gets the other nations a chance to just grab a random little province. This might make for some weird wars.
There are some weird wars due to the nature of the game. Luckily my armies can just go anywhere and everywhere. Elephants do great in Russia didn't you know?
