Quite simple. siege progress should linger on the castle/building similar to how complete sieges affect garrisons. i believe it would help the AI significantly as the often break sieges 1month from done to kill a 150men troop nearby and then return. it also sucks when you move to resupply nearby and your allies break all sieges.

make it so that the siege has a "save point" for a lack of better word, so that if you reach 20,40,60,80% etc it "saves" and returns to the previous cap, before slowly decaying down to 0.
so if you break it off at 95 it immediatly goes down to 80 before decaying.

Doesnt make much sense that a town or castle that was on the verge of collapse suddenly returned to as good as new in one day.

This would also make perks/tech/modifiers that boost garrisons more valuable (in addition to upgraded garrison buildings).
