Was playing this the other day just prior to The Reapers Due release (so on the correct patch with all the DLC available at the time). Anyway, I installed all of the default HIP packages and happened to notice in-game that there appear to be options for crests and hair-cuts that were in the vanilla game but not in HIP. For instance, there were like 21 emblems available for Christian characters in the crest-designer that have now been reduced to 9, and only 1 of those 9 functions. Why would options be removed? Did I do something wrong in the installation process (I also noticed some crest presets were blank and others where blank white with the number '119' in black text in the centre).

Thanks!

As far as I can remember there should be a "Customizer" option in the religion section of the Ruler Designer. If you select that you gain access to all the standard features of vanilla. They took it out to prevent horrible randomised Coat of Arms for courtiers and Barons, IIRC. Just remember to convert back to your preferred religion once in game using the console.
