oops - the pictures are too big again.... sorry.

Thanks Stuyvesant :) I had not expected to get that far, either - I thought that between Spain and France, they will manage to squeeze me out of Europe.

I started thinking about Asia now... my idea is to strike at China or India, maybe (not to get bogged down in the poor Middle East provinces).

But before that, I still don't know how on Earth I will be besieging those level 3 Russian fortresses in winder, mind you :D

Seidita, thank you!

Yep, I think they are not a long term player at this stage. If my infantry costs 10 d, theirs must be 73 d with the 730% of inflation, no? (or 730? I am not good in math :D ). I just need to pile up enough patience to take all of their vast territory.

I destroyed about 60,000 or 80,000 of their troops in the last war - which might have actually been a help for them, since they now just might get out of their cycle of bankrupcies.

Hi Soarom - we must have posted at the same time... thanks for reading :) I was surprised with them too - they are indeed big for themselves. I was at some point thinking of taking them out, but decided to focus on the more troublesome Europeans...

Well, 730% inflation means 83d for 1K infantry.

(100% doppels prices, 200% tripples, etc.)

Unless you are naval quality freemen and have base cost of 18d per K, then it's more like 150 after inflation :D

How on Earth did the Spaniards manage to get 730% inflation! They must be trying really hard!

So about the BB, are there just constant badboy wars at this stage, Sasha? Or what's the deal?

As said before, impressive progress. It seems as if prof. Ebbesen will be getting a new colleague. :D

Amazing, if you succeed in conquering the world with the Lenapes it is truly a great achievement and the title of professor may not be enough…:D

Klorik, Nikolay II, that's a very encouraging calculation. I think they will cease to be a threat after I take the rich Brasil out of them in the next war.

Commandante, their problem was an endless cycle of bankruptcies. Their income graph shows regular high peaks (my guess is each peak = 5 loans) and their inflation graph shows corresponsing jumps in inflation. So they've basically destroyed themselves.

There are some wars declared against me, but unfortunately not much. I am now loaded as Normal / Furious; and I probably should go Hard or Very Hard. I will think about it :)

Soarom, the pagans really hate me :D Takes a few diplomats to pump up relations, but as soon as it's +200, they get vassalised and then annexed from a first attempt. I guess that's due to my begemoth size :D

Amric, Thank you :)

Judge, thanks - but I think that at this stage, the World Conquest is beyond me. I have only 130 years left, and I have not yet finished Europe! I think Asia will be spared this time :( but we will see.

My problem is that I am not very fluent with the world conquest dynamics; and I am actually playing a rather leisurely game - e.g. almost no DOWs without a CB, no wars against Pagans, etc.

Many thanks, Dmitri, Sabre Man and Wasa :)

A question to the learned amongst us: why do the COTs in Europe collapse after I conquer them? Does this depend on my trade level (it's 3), or my merchantilism / plutocracy / naval settings? It's so dissappointing to conquer a 600 d Tago COT and see it blow down to 15d in the next month :D

He's right. That is exactly why they collapse. However, if you take all or most of Europe they will eventually recover as there won't be anywhere else for them to trade. They won't recover all their former glory, but at least they won't be a total waste of time...

Actually, no such luck. Once *too many* European CoTs become pagan-controlled, new European CoTs should appear to steal trade away from pagans.

Thanks for reading guys - will update on Saturday most likely (as I will not be able to write anything tomorrow for the simple reason that I plan to load up on much alcohol. Sorry :) ).

In game terms, I have taken hints or direct advice of some readers and switched to Very Hard... khm. You'll see the results :D
'Pause' is now my favourite button...

A bizarre thing happened meanwhile: my chances of colonising empty provinces in Asia, Africa or South America became 1% - 5%. I must have done something wrong ;)

Oh, so it's not active at the lower difficulties..

Then it like this - in higher difficulties you can only have as many colonies as your monarch has ADM rating (the real one, not the dots afaik). If you have more colonies than this you'll face difficulties in expanding. :)

Once you have completed those colonies you have to pop 1000+ your chances will recuperate.

Same goes for TPs, but the cutoff point for them is TP level 3.

Well, they used to do so, but with the new CoT allocation scheme that favors colonial cities heavily we do not know until Gaijin dM has tested, I guess :)
