Legionary Romania

It pains me to see there are quite a few problems with fascist Romania.

The flag:

There is no point in using a completely ahistorical flag (the tricolour with the hashtag of friendship and happiness slapped on it) for a type of government that historically existed for most of the duration of the war. The flag that should be used is the normal tricolour with no coat of arms whatsoever (since that was the official flag), or if you really want it to look different, use the army flag.

The name:
Putting aside there's a historical name for the Legionary rule (the National Legionary State), fascist Romania was mostly under Antonescu's military dictatorship. Kingdom of Romania is what the country should be, because, again, that's how things went historically. Regardless of whether the king was a puppet or not for the regime, Romania was still a monarchy.

I really don't understand why Paradox must pick the fantasy option in the cases where they literally don't have to use their imagination and pick what history offered to them.[/spoiler]

Not sure what you are complaining about other than name and flag, which are easy to change.

The part where it is you that have to change them instead of Paradox getting it right in the first place. There's no logical reason for their choice of flag especially, and for name you have more deserving options. This is more all the more important as it is to be expected of Romania to take the fascist route, and not end up there by accident, where I wouldn't have had that much of a complaint. But when you go directly against history, it kind of leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

Flag and name are so minor you could fix it yourself in 5 seconds if you don't like the choice the devs made.

You should.

That said, flag is one of the things that jump in your eyes first. I'm not talking about modding it in, it's a no-brainer that can be done. It's about why can't the devs have gotten it right, when a couple of clicks could have shown them how it was supposed to be. Even more so as it is not even the first time I'm signalling the very same issue.

It's like USSR having this flag in game

, me saying "this isn't what the flag is supposed to be, it should be the hammer and sickle", the flag still staying in that way, me mentioning once again, then you saying "just mod it in lol". It's the kind of thing that people shouldn't bother to mod in in the first place.
