Hi, All

Also made a note in the bugs forum, but wondering what people's experiences have been like with legionary distinctions generally?

Playing as Rome, my first earned legionary distinction was "Poliorcetes," so +1 siege and 10% siege ability bonus. My first siege after earning it, I noticed that I wasn't getting either of the benefits. So I shuffled my commanders. Next siege, no effect. Rebooted the game. No effect.

So I resigned myself to it just not working, so onward. I've now earned an additional distinction - the one that gives combat bonuses on plains and farmlands. "Campator," maybe? Now I'm wondering if this one won't work, too. Haven't had an opportunity to test it yet.

Been loving the Marius Update though overall!

I am a newbie at this game, but is it possible that the +X siege displayed is capped at the province's fortification level?

I've sieged level 1 thru level 3 (the Gauls went fort-crazy in Verona for some reason!) with this legion and seen no difference. Note that I see the siege modifiers I've gotten through techs, mission trees, and from having four cohorts of engineers in the legion, but not the legionary distinction.

If you can't tell, I like my siege capabilities - I even bought the engineer cohorts (probably earlier than I should have, financially) just because I like fast sieges and the roleplaying idea of Roman engineering geniuses running around, lol, so I was super excited to get Poliorcetes as my first earned distinction. Alas...
