It takes a lot of your ruler's life to start a journey, and ideally, he and three sons can comeback with a bloodline each.

Except, good luck with that because more likely only you will return alive, if anyone returns alive at all.

So this time, I took a different approach. I left other three heroes of the lodge actually competent ones, renowned duelists with high PCS. I only murdered one who was too old and weak, so another competent veteran could replace his spot.

Before the journey, actually from months ahead, I gave all of them a decent weapon and armor. What's the point of keeping all of them on me anyway? Especially that +2 axe, you can get one every few months if you give one away.

During the journey, I always chose options to avoid a fight or having another lodge member take it. I will take small and safe journey progress every time instead of great progress or my life. It's ok to be craven in this situation.

At the end, three of us came back with a bloodline each. I came back dead but still with a bloodline so that worked. The other khagans' bloodlines can be easily merged into mine. Several each of their kids are already in capital house arrested.

they make their own decisions... you cant alter them as I know other than giving them better combat ability somehow(like weapons)
But I have waken them up several times during my journey, so that they could fight instead of me. I only really had a few fight that I didn't have an option to avoid.

And they finished the journey nearly right after I did.
