Also, if you prefer video format http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLu_cbwbXcS740XvgSAbDRvYzrYWUQYdY- this video series is where I started and I cant recommend it more, it not only teaches you how to play the game but teaches you how to understand whats going on and develop your own play style.
There is also this one from Uriah. While not technically a tutorial, he walks you through his decisions and it shows how to use the AI to run your armies.

As the author of this tutorial, I should warn you that it is only accurate up to For The Motherland. If you are playing TFH, there are numerous differences, most of which are discussed AFTER the last chapter. If so, you might want to start there first and make adjustments accordingly. If you do have questions, ask them in the tutorial, since I might miss it otherwise.
