I have tried to write a few AAR's and the last two has been abandoned due to boredom. So this time around I have chosen to do some kind of roleplay with Pisa. The style of the AAR can probably be called novell-like. I will fill this start post with better information when I got started. ~ Bazti

A new Dawn

Royal Palace, Milano
20 October Anno Domini 1399

The gathered crowd all had their eyes on the man kneeling before Gian Galeazzo Visconti. They were noblemen, clergy and rich merchants from all over the Milanese realm and all of the knew that the man kneeling infront of the king, had done the kingdom a large favor. The man was Belisario d'Iverea, a noble hailing from Pisa. He had stopped a major rebellion in his hometown of Pisa and by doing that he had impressed Gian Galeazzo. The Milanese King had summoned Belisario to reward him properly at the court in Milano. The king rose from his throne and the gathered crowd fell silent.

He cleared his throat before he began to speak. " Today a hero will be rewarded" he said. " Belisario d'Iverea? "

" Yes, my king? " Belisario answered.

" I will grant you one wish and if its in my power I will fullfill it " Gian Galeazzo said.

" My King, I wish to be the Duke of Pisa and Count of Siena " Belisario said slowly.

The crowd started to talk. This man barely a nobleman demanded the Dukedom of Pisa and not just Pisa, but also the County of Siena. How dared he.

" Silence " Gian Galeazzo shouted. " You managed to stop the rebellion in Pisa. Even if many would rather behead you, for asking for such a reward as you did. I will instead fulfill the wish. But you will become my vassal Belisario "

" Thank you my king " Belisario said with tears in his eyes.

" Dont make me regret this Belisario. I say that the audience is over and I would like you to return to Pisa emidiatly and claim your Dukedom " Gian Galeazzo said with a smile.

Ruins of Cagliari, Sardinia
14 August Anno Domini 1412

The remenants of the Sardinian Capital were scattered around them. With barely 5,000 men Belisario d'Ivrea had secured the Sardinian throne. Suddenly a horn was blown in the distance. Everyone turned towards the source of the noise and saw a scout riding right for them. As he came closer he shouted. " King Belisario! King Belisario! "

" I am here, what is it that is so urgent, my friend? " Belisario answered.

" My king, Gennaro of Sardinia have gathered 1,000 peasants and they are heading this way. " explained the Scout.

" Do he really think that he can save his crown with 1,000 peasants against the well trained Pisan Army? " Belisario said. " I who managed to change my Duchy into a Kingdom without Gian Galeazzo complaining, should I be scared? To arms my brothers, we will secure Sardinia for Pisa! "

" For Pisa! " the men cheered.

Shore of Corsica
6 January Anno Domini 1422

The men were going home to Pisa. Some of them had been with Belisario d'Ivrea when he had seized the Sardinian throne ten years earlier. When the call to take the control of the other large island, Corsica, they had answered it and followed their king over the sea. Bastia had fallen after a month, the population had simply thrown the recently crowned king over the walls and then opened the city gates. Later they heard from the locals that the man who had lead the Corsican Independence fight against the Genovese merchants, had soon turned into a greedy tyrant. So Corisca enjoyed 1 year of independence before being brought back into a Italian trade republics control. Well Pisa wasnt a trade republic anymore, it was the glourius kingdom of Pisa.
