The USN Pacific continued its efforts to hammer through to Hawaii, to no avail. Halsey slammed head-on in Ozawa's gunfleet and retreated quickly, preserving both of his battleships. I made plans at that point to move more fighting naval units to the Pacific. Preferably carriers to support Yamamoto, but battleships were proving capable enough.
The League's forces in Venezuela began to push into Columbia, driving for the Panama Canal. The Columbiam Army was incapable of providing significant resistance to General Gort and his army.
Then US General George S. Patton Jr. oversaw the landing of 100,000 soldiers from the US mainland into Cumana, Venezuela. League troops quickly counterattacked, but US reinforcements kept pouring in. High Command ordered a halt to the attacks in order to preserve organization and morale.
By September, Patton had been joined by General Wedemayer, and a total of 640,000 American soldiers sat in Cumana. The League would not be able to oust the Americans. Combining the Niihau and Cumana pockets, over a million US soldiers were waiting to sting the LMCP in the back.
At this point the League signed a cease-fire with Columbia in order to set its rear in order. President Armitage famously commented on the Columbians:
"Those goddamn stinking backstabbing cowardly . . . ." the rest is censored from print.
In Britain, the Admiralty authorized a few bottles of whiskey to be passed around in a high-level meeting, for the first twenty of the new Malta-class carriers were completed. Fifteen were assigned to Admiral Chuichi Nagumo, who placed his flag on the HMS
Britannia, while to remaining five were given to Admiral John Tovey, who was transferred quickly to the Pacific.
The League launched a massive offensive into Guinea on September 8th. The French-Canadian-American defenses held firm for a few days, then crumbled. The League's High Command ordered the LMCP commanders in the field to press the Allies at every opportunity and not give them time to reorganize.
General Douglas MacArthur attempted to break out of the Cumana pocket by driving inland. After a fierce two-week battle he was repulsed when League reinforcements arrived to stiffen General Nomura's Marines.
The Kaisermuffin institute, having proven its reliability through the Churchill tanks series, was contracted to design a new armored model, codenamed "Centurion".
Another US landing at Pearl Harbor was repulsed, with shockingly low casualties for the League. The fortifications on the Hawaiian Islands have proven their merit.
The Synthetic Material Plants are like Synthetic Oil Plants, just for the conversion of oil to rares.
Two US carriers off Bermuda run into Nagumo. Neither the Lexington or the Oriskany is sunk, but both are badly damaged and only the obsolete light cruiser Gloucester takes noticible damage on the League side. Admiral Sommervile and his battleships take up station preventing reinforcement and supply for Patton and MacArthur. Admiral Koga takes his seven damaged carriers back to Plymouth for repairs. Tovey arrives in Pearl and takes his carriers out to hunt US convoys supplying Niihau.

Disclaimer - I know the Patton picture says Caracas, it was the only one I had of his landings.
