Thus far, I've spent spent 52 hours in Stellaris playing as the United Nations of Earth and have played for about 106 years.
I think it would be interesting if there were a a way to access the history of both your empire's rulers and the history of other empires, like the history in EU4 or chronicle in CK2.
I suspect this is probably very low on the list of priorities, but I think it would be interesting to be able to see that (using an example from my current United Nations of Earth Ironman game) the second President of the United Nations of Earth began as an admiral beginning in 2200 before being elected President in 2205, and was then re-elected President eight times until his death of old age at (age) on (date). A few major events from each ruler could also be listed, like first contact with an alien race, new colonies being established, wars begun/ended/won/lost, alliances and federations being formed, etc.
This could also include a portrait of the ruler in question and their traits (both as their original leader type, i.e. governor/scientist/admiral/general, and as ruler of the empire, at least where these differ). For government types that allow elections, an optional inclusion might be the share of the vote in each election for both the ruler and no more than two other candidates that came closest to winning.
Admittedly, I probably ought to just make an AAR (which, incidentally, I'm currently planning for the Clarke or Asimov updates).
It would also be interesting to see a list of the rulers of other empires. Is there already a way to see the name of rulers of other empires? I have no idea if there is a way to see this information at the moment other than through diplomacy, but I think it would be interesting to see the names and traits of other rulers.
An indication of the homeworld of each leader would also be interesting, but probably an insignificant enough detail that it doesn't need to be implemented.
I also think it would be interesting to add dynasties and relationships between characters, but for that I should probably just go back to playing CK2.
