How common is it for revolutionary armies to have leaders? I didn't even consider the possibility until I saw that one of the armies that was fighting for Dutch independence had a name. I can't remember the name now, but I think it is an Austrian leader called "von Austria" or "de Austria" or something. He had a surprisingly small army for the Dutch independence movement (slightly above 5000 infantry) and was thus thoroughly destroyed by the Austrians who diagreed with the Dutch.
I have never seen this before, and was very puzzled. It would make sense, as even great leaders can be dissatisfied with the rule of a country, but I didn't even think about it until I found this one by accident.
