Since I am currently modding my leader files, I was wondering whether you guys are using one leader/minister file for the whole period or separate ones for WWI and WWII. And if you are using just one file, are you getting rid of the Old Guard trait, since in that case it would no longer seem to make much sense.

Good to know. As regards the Old Guard trait, there definitely were some old geezers in WWI, but the problem comes with those generals that have the Old Guard trait in the WW2 period. Just think General von Heye for example: in the original game he has the Old Guard trait in 1936, but if you have just one file what about 1920, when he was appointed general? Surely he would not deserve the Old Guard trait then? Which leads me to think that you would need a mechanism, which would allow all leaders that have been around for say 20/25 years to receive the Old Guard trait later.
