And finally begun on finsihing the Arabian peninsular.Iraq finished with 36 pics.Lots of politicians.Introduced elections there.One in 1939 to reflect the growing leaning towards fascism,one in 42 to reflect the British takeover and one in 46 to reflect end of war (in real time that is) and a disappearance of the British Ministers.

No wonder you couldn't find Peake..or I could.There don't exist any pics of him but one official(where his nice side is shown),and the one where he is seated next to Hussein ( or next next)..yep I got a positive ID for him.and no it was not the one I thought it was...
In Peake we have our third heavily mutilated general(therefor no pics of him,he was also partly crippled which is why he despite his relative low rank at the time sits down.Poor man had his chin and cheekbone shot of....his face(even on the relatively poor pic) resembles that of a turned up pyramid.Not a very nice sight to look at.Wonder if he got that in WW1?

Could be. Don't know much about his ww1 career except that he served in the Egyptian Army where he participated in the campaign against the Sultan of Darfur (in Sudan) in 1916, and later served in the Egyptian Camel Corps and participated in the raids against the Hedjaz railroad in 1918. Let me know if you should manage to dig up some more...

No not dig up,but I have a little more info,It is obviously from the pic that he is in great pain sitting down..and my source informed that he usually preferred working lying flat on the floor,so he must have been in severe pain.However perhaps as a curiosity and then not-He was regarded as a first class horseman and camel rider..that doesn't seemed to bother him (must be the "massage" you get from riding)He had to be helped in the saddle though.He was a very shy man(guess he felt ashamed about his wounds..which is a bit silly)Both the Arabs and the Jews held him in high regard..he must have been a good negotiator.I haven't any info about his death where or when.
