Because a lot of these files needs that and it would be historically correct adding British officers to Arabian nations,Bhutan and Tibet while it will be historical correct to add Russians in Tannu Tavu Mongolia and Sinkiang.(and Americans in Liberia actually)

Afghanistan did not have British officers.

well they had some sort of military advisors from foreign nations...:D

I think the Foreign Liason to the airforce was Turkish. Or maybe Italian.

I read it somewhere, not sure where.

I looked at the British Strategic Intelligence from 1928-1941 on Afghanistan.

It lists british envoys in and out and theres nothing about a British Air Liason.

There are however mentions of talks to supply Afghanistan with planes in the event of a Soviet attack.

Excellent work, but why did you list Switzerland in German ("Schweiz")?

habit...in Danish it is called Schweiz too....:D Like Venice is Venezia etc.

A very simple question where are the pics?
I downloaded only yesterday the new patch and then I checked the italian leaders. There many blank leaders (i.e. not with the cross but like minor leader unknow).
I checked the leaderfile but there they should have the pics.
I post like exemple some leader attributes.
Amico Antonelli Armellini Asinari don't have the pics even if they should

Amico 6005 ITA 3 64 2 0 2 0 amico_giuseppe_ita
Andreoli 6006 ITA 3 1 1 0 3 0 no_picture_avail
Angioy 6007 ITA 3 0 1 0 3 0 no_picture_avail
Antonelli 6008 ITA 3 1 1 0 5 0 antonelli_francesco_ita
Arena 6010 ITA 3 128 2 0 4 0 arena_francesantonio_ita
Argentino 6011 ITA 3 0 1 0 5 0 no_picture_avail
Arisio 6012 ITA 2 0 2 0 4 0 no_picture_avail
Armando 6013 ITA 2 4 1 0 2 0 no_picture_avail
Armellini Q. 6015 ITA 3 256 1 0 4 0 armellino_quirino_ita
Arnato 6016 ITA 3 0 1 0 3 0 no_picture_avail
Asinari di Bernezzo 6017 ITA 2 512 1 0 4 0 asinari_di_bernezzo_vittorio_ita

I hope this is the right thread to discuss this problem

Actually not the right thread maurfal...:) Try Post this at Leader 1-06 mod or Bug Reporting...but I do not understand that,Because I have these pics and I have sent them to Vulture looonng time ago.It is quite a while since I have worked on the Italian file last.

How come Indonesia and India aren't listed in the countries to update? Indonesia has no naval or air leaders, and India has no leaders at all.

Actually I'm sort of hiding those nations..because they will only appear if something special happens. They will be made eventually,,,but I haven't seen a game so far where they appear so it is low priority...Indonesia anyway will mostly be Dutch file again because it did not gain independence before 1948..you could use the term about India.

Where oh where is this?

So I have found the link to download the latest file for leaders.

The name of the file was pml_pack1008.

Hoping to find that all of the Italian leaders would be in there because I read something in a post that said Italy was 100% and CLOSED.

After download I found nothing for Italy. Looked in the download and there was NO leader file at all for Italy.

So is all this still to come, an oversight in the file or I downloaded the wrong file... Please advise.

Thanks.

Well I think Vulture last uodated this 10-08-2003,but I'm constantly correcting which files I have closed and in my files I can see I closed Italy on the 24-08-2003 so it is almost certain that you will have to wait for Vulture posting the next update..you can always keep track of it by looking at the no's of pics....when he edits his part of this part you will notice that the no.of pics has gone up,but usually he leaves a notice about update in the leader file....I just do the hard work....:):he will return from vacation 0509 2003 I think...:)

Not Turkish
Ihsan Khan, commander of the AAF was a staunch Italy supporter and regularly bought Italian aircraft (RO-37s and Breda trainers), transport aircraft came from Junkers (German mechanics maintained them). From 1936-37 the Afghans bought Hawker Hinds (8 from the British gov't and 20 from the Hawker factory). The ony British officers that remained in Afghanistan during the war were Intructors (together with the Germans and Italians).

After Ihsans death(28/8/1945) the new commandant Asadullah Khan (former chief of general staff) reorganized the AAF on RAF lines as far as possible. In September 45 Spitfires were offered to the new Royal Afghan Air Force but this was rejected and the Avro Anson18 was chosen instead.

Most Afghan pilots got their training (during or right before the war) in Karachi or India. There is no mention of what the German and Italian instructors/mechanics did after the war, but it is certain that the Afghan airforce was led by Afghans and not the British(or any others), the British officers were in Afghanistan purely for training students and testing repaired/new aircraft.

So no foreign officers for Afghanistan(s airforce) please

What about officers for some of the puppets that can be liberated. Like Russia, Ukraine, etc.?
