Is there a leader death date removal for game saves? I tried to do it manually but it takes 30 sec. just to change 1 because the file is so freakin huge. I'm sure it's simple to write something in C++, that would parse the file and replace all enddate = 19xx to enddate = 1960 w/ a slimple loop and selection statements. I'm too lazy to install a compiler and write one myself, also I haven't programmed in 2 years, so can someone do this?

Both the no end date and no death date mods are there.

BTW, the dates are held in a CSV file, so you don't needn't use anything so advanced as C++ to mod it.

Yes, I am aware of that, but if you started a game without modifying the csv file, the end dates will be saved into the save file, so even if you mod it later, leaders will still die in your save if you loaded it and play it. I've tried the no death date files(Stonewall) and the no deathdate for leaders + techteams.

I too need something for changing leader death dates.. Is it possible to do it from NotePad??? With the Replace Command.. I am not sure how to do it but I bet someone here knows how.


Please any help will be greatly appreciated.. ;)

Alright, I just figured out how to do it. You can't use notepad, since it's so incredibly inefficient and will take forever just to change a single value w/ files of this size. Use wordpad, and start replacing all "endyear = 1940" or whatever year you saved it at with "endyear = 1960", then repeat w/ "endyear = 1941" and so on and so forth, until you get to 1948.

I searched through the save file, and I'm pretty sure that the only entries of "endyear" in save files pertain to leader and tech team death. I believe other events use "enddate". So, unless you want your techteams to die, there shouldn't be a problem. As far as I know, ministers still die.
