Launching game in debug mode (win10)

I tried changing the desktop shortcut to 'steam://rungameid/859580 -debug_mode', but that doesn't seem to work.

Could someone explain the expected syntax to a slow learner.

Go to your Steam Library and right-click Imperator and select "Properties", there in the "General" tab you'll see a "Set Launch Options". Click that and add without quotes "-debug_mode"
You can do what you did with the .exe too, so it'd be like "path_to_imperator/binaries/imperator.exe -debug_mode"

i dont have it on steam so how do i open debug mode? nvm found it out
