I'm trying to play the new 1.7.0 patch but when I open the steam launcher I get an update error and says to contact support. I can't launch 1.7 (Bastion), but I can roll back into 1.6 and launch the game. I've tried troubleshooting this in several ways including uninstalling and reinstalling CK3. The 1.7 AVX issue patch causes the launcher to crash when I try to open it (the launcher not the game).
Any help on troubleshooting or diagnosing this issue would help. Didn't see anywhere else I could open a ticket or upload game data to help diagnose.

Please try this:

- uninstall Paradox Launcher v2 from the Windows "Apps and features" utility, if still present.

Delete the following folders if still present:

- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Roaming/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

- exit the Steam app entirely
- run steam.exe as the Windows Admin user

- run the game from the PLAY button in Steam

IF that doesn't help, in this folder are some .log files:
C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/
Please attach them here.

I'm unable to uninstall the Paradox Launcher v2. When I use Apps & Features to uninstall it I get the normal loading popup but then it closes after 2-3 seconds, and the launcher is still there. I found the files you referenced and tried to delete them, but it says the files are in use by another app. I've used task manager to try to locate any apps that could be using it and closed them all down (including Steam), with no change to the Apps & Features attempt or removing the folders through file explorer.

Edit: restarted computer and was able to remove these. Launcher is clearly updated. However, it still crashes when I attempt to launch the game from the launcher. Am currently Verifying file integrity through steam as a double check.
Attached snip of new error popup.

Edit 2: Verifying file integrity didn't change anything, but then I swapped out to the AVX fix version and was able to launch the game successfully!
Thank you!
