Launcher still presents 2 options to start Stellaris

Back when the new launcher was being tested, you got a popup to choose between "Play Stellaris" and "Play Stellaris with new launcher".
As both give the new launcher, this is an unnecessary step.
I am on the beta branch of Stellaris if that would be important, mind not the beta of the launcher.

If I choose in Steam to make a desktop shortcut, that shortcut works by immediately showing the launcher and not that extra screen.

How can I remove that extra screen when launching Stellaris from within Steam?

Same on my end on all fronts. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but it's been annoying for some time now.

Yeah it is annoying. I have no idea if this is like this for everybody or not. I have verified my installation in Steam and no files were changed.

I have never seen this pop up depite having played since before and during the launch of the new launcher.

I think it's a setting somewhere or maybe a left over file. Maybe a steam setting? The popup started at the time the new paradox launcher was introduced.

Opt out of the beta into the main production version.

Can I ask why you are running the beta?

Thanks. I did so and the popup seems to be gone.

I am running the beta because usually bugfix releases end up here first and it allows me to help test the game.
Stellaris is my favorite game all time (5.235 hours to date).
