launcher failed to install mod

as title says, i subscribe to a mod, but "fails to install", tried the uninstall-subscrive again trick like 50 times, but it seems to not work, and thats weird because there has not been any update to the game AND to the mod, so it should work well enough, is there no way to "reinstall mod" from the launcher or something like that? it driving me nuts

What launcher version shows please? Current is 2020.9 .

its the 2020.9, came with the gog release

That should work then. Please try the following:

- unsubscribe from all mods
- delete the folder Documents/paradox/stellaris/mod/
- delete the file Documents/paradox/stellaris/mods_registry.json

- subscribe to a few mods
- run the game up and see if those mods are now available to you.

it does seem to work, but some mods still fail to install.

Are those mods known to be compatible with 1.9.3 ?

quite sure, unless there was a big stealth patch this past, civics extended should be working, but here we are

There have been no patches for this game since 1.93, stealth or otherwise.

I don't know then, if one mod works you'd expect them all to. This is from the Paradox mod site, is that right? Have you tried both subscribing from there and a manual download and install? You may need help from the mod author on that second method.
