also I had antivirus error from Comodo AV about ck2.exe I manage to get rid of it by marking ck2.exe as trusted file.

Are you by any chance getting a message getting a message about reinstalling C++ every time you run the game? If so, there's a fix for that in the sticky "known issues" thread above, that can fix this problem too.

You might also find that Comodo has quarantined ck2.exe already.

1 - no, but I could try to use that fix. Who know,maybe it will help.
2- yes, but I have manually took ck2.exe from quarantine, so I think it should not be a problem?

I forgot abut something: my OS is Win7 x64. Maybe it's changing something in this situation.

OK, try this. Uninstall CK2 from Steam (Dlete local files), and manually delete any leftover files and directories in the Steam and MyDocuments folders. Disable Comodo, then reinstall CK2 and run it.

Most people running CK2 have Win7 64bit and do not have this or any other problem. Not sure why you'd think that might be an issue ... ?

I have exactly the same problem. Might be a coincidence, but I'm also running a Polish version of the game bought on Steam. The problem is both with my desktop (Windows 7 64bit, Full HD) and with my laptop (Windows Vista 32bit, 1280x800). Both PCs run the game fine after the Sword of Islam patch. I currently have all DLCs (apart from Sunset Invasion) but I didn't play CKII since September.

I tried everything off the FAQ list including checking file integrity, reinstalling the game, removing player profile and game directory. My Steam folder is neither in a system path nor on the system drive. I also double checked if it's not CIS blocking it, but the game won't run (or even list DLCs in launcher) with CIS disabled.

BTW, I don't have ck2.exe anywhere, it's ck2game.exe in my version.

That's your problem then, as ck2.exe is the game itself - ck2game.exe is just the launcher. Do you have Comodo AV ? If so it's probably quarantined it.

OK, silly me. I totally missed the quarantine part. After taking it from quarantine and adding both EXEs to Trusted Files with Comodo AV it went up. Thanks. :happy:
