After installing the game via Steam, during the first start of the launcher this error occurs: "Zugangsfehler Spieldateien - Wir haben keine Schreibrechte für das Verzeichnis mit den Spieldateien. Kontaktieren Sie bitte den Support." Roughly translated it says: "Can't access game files - We do not have write access to the directory with the game files. Please contact support."
After that another error occurs: "Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten - Mod-Ladereihenfolge konnte nicht gespeichert werden. Stelle bitte sicher, dass der Launcher Zugang zum Dokumente-Ordner hat." This translates to: "An error occurred - mod loading order could not be saved. Please make sure that the launcher has access to the Documents folder."
After these errors I'm unable to launch the game. The errors occur at each start of the launcher.
Additionally, in the launcher the sections for DLCs, Mods and game settings are deactivated due to the launcher not being able to access the game files in the directory "C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III"

Restarting the system and reinstallation both did not help.
Running Steam as admin didn't help.
Running the Launcher as admin directly through the .exe file didn't change anything except from creating a communication error with Steam.
Trying to start the game directly through the .exe file didn't do anything.
The instances of the launcher are not terminated after closing the launcher, I had to kill them through the Task manager. At one point there were five different instances of the launcher active without any of them showing a window.

The game runs through Steam on a Windows 10 system.

Anyone have an idea, what I should try?

Indeed.

Add CK3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
