Just got done my latest game as Spain. I decided to go with them to compare how I'd do compared to my very first GC. Strangely enough, I think I did better the first time. Anyway, here is the world view just as the game was about to end. Some surprises as you'll see. Used he version of the IGC that incorporated emerald green into the national colors. Gonna break these up over a few replies.

Europa itself. Things of interest is the super Denmark. They did pretty well for themselves. And Austria finally did quite well for themselves as well.

Here's Africa and the Near East. As usual, Turkey has expanded into the Arabian penninsula and colonized the east coast of Africa. See the brown on the West coast? Yup, that's Denmark.

Um, England had control of the three Pacific Island chains and the Netherlands had the Aleutians.

North America. The Dutch and English did well for themselves. I did as well. All brown you see in North and South America are Danish. That little bit of green you see in what is today Haiti, belongs to Scottland.

This one snuck up on me, see screenshot for what I mean. The Dutch really expanded quite well.

Gerona and Rousselon (SP?)...Lost those very early in the game, this was my eventual pay back.

Heh, that was my first thought too. Then I saw the little arrows pointing to the "China" box and figured it out. :D

Interesting game. It looks like the Pope was practically the only minor in all of Europe to escape the domination of one of the greater powers! Austria and Poland were really on a roll there....

It's also kind of odd how England neither took anything from Scotland nor had anything taken from it - in my current game Scotland made the wise choice of allying with the northern countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark) and calling them in to beat on the Brits every time they looked at the Highlands the wrong way! ;) England has lost more than half of Ireland and it's mainland before the 17th century has even begun!
