Last to DLC's what countries are good

What countries are the most fun to play and with the last two DLC's

I am struggling to notice much difference

Any Hindu nation. Personal deities, much more provinces in India, great DHE's.

Art of War and Res Publica?

Art of War mechanics are mostly nation independent, although it does add events for some areas outside Europe. Res Publica is mostly about Netherlands and Poland, with some stuff also for merchant republics.

so if playing Netherlands how do you take advantage of res publica?

I am having a ball playing Bengal at the minute, took humanism first for max heathen tolerance and have been sat at 175% unity all game, rarely converting anything. I can also easily take provinces and not increase autonomy. Around 1550 I vassalised Ming (they had around 1/2 their provinces but at 100% autonomy). Around 1620 I will have everything east of Gurjarat, going for the silk road achievement. 3rd in score, 1st in adm and mil, no plans to westernise as I haven't had any problem keeping up in mil tech.

so if playing Netherlands how do you take advantage of res publica?

If you form Netherlands you'll get an event to switch to the Dutch Republic governemt in a few years. The government type has DLC-only mechanics and the events are tied to that.
