So I've got 50 years to finish up the wc Im doing, all I have left is the chinese tech region. My question is how am I supposed to stop people from westernising. In another run ming westernised even though i had them protectorated. ming now borders a western nation so im really worried that they will westernise at the very last minute. I wanted a one tag world originally so my vassal swarm has cored all of africa, europe and india for me already.

Most of my manpower goes straight into rebel stomping+ 30 k or so mercs. Ive gotta say the swarm has saved me hours and hours of micromanaging, plus the fact that I can feed cores to any costal HRE prince and revoke the last reform for free cores is a neat way to get around PDS adding more provinces that need to be cored. Im just getting nervous because its now so close to 1820 and if something big goes wrong (eg rebels enforce demands and I lose a load of territory I only have 50 years to fix it.

Any veteran WCers out there with tips for the last stretch? Should I revoke the last reform and manually micromanage my millions of vassal troops to make the most out of the remaining 50 years?

Final checklist:

* All terra incognita explored? (Account for these nations - South America - Charrua, inland SA nations. North America - Comanche, Illiniwek, Shawnee, Cree. Spice Islands - Sulu, Buton, Ternate) Ships allocated to invade islands you need to take?
* Any subjects of subjects (i.e. protectorate of CN - these do NOT count towards WC) you will have to deal with?
* Enough ADM/DIP to go on a trucebreak spree? Rebel stomping forces in order on the home front? Ships allocated to deal with island revolts?

Doesn't matter if Ming westernize if you're going for a one-tag. If they try to, bankrupting them in the first war should explode them, then you can declare on the nations they spit out to deconstruct them in fewer wars.

Would not suggest uniting empire, because from what it sounds you would still have to tank a lot of overextension going into the final years.

When I protectorated ming they had 20 war exaustion by the end of that war and they didnt break into any smaller pieces... the province cost says I can 3 shot them, if I spread out the provinces between the 6 or so vassals that are in coring range I think its doable. plus i accidentally vassalised rather than annexed russia so at some point im gonna have to unvassalise them and eat them
