Well, once I captured most of the French fleet in my invasion of France, and then captured the entire Britsih Med. fleet at Alexandria. What this amounts to I'm not sure, but I had at least a couple carriers, 12-15 Battleships, and many cruisers and destroyers. It brought me up close to the UK in naval size (if you exclude transports

How do you capture ships?
I think theres like a one in five chance that when you take a port with enemy ships in it you take control of them, however when I have tried this they usually either escape or scuttle themselves.
I often have about 24 to 36 H class battleships and a large amount of P class cruisers backed by around 60 electro submarines. I just love to sink the royal and US navy. Just keep the german navy well away from the english channel until luftwaffe is powerful enough to wipe out GB's naval bombers. Soviet submarines can be nasty so take them out early if you can. Sometimes You can also get a lage proportion of the french navy or GB's if they go into Danzig.

Gotta catch them by suprise in a province, its usually 1 or 2 here and there. His case its extra ordinary.billy bob said:
My biggest fleet was the 24 Battleships I made. After beating Russia, I wanted to control the seas. I came close to doing it, sank like 48 ships in about 5 months. Then on a raiding around New York. I met a stack of US ships. By the time I was back in Brest, I lost 9 BBs. Then I lost another 6 against Japan. I then made around 100 subs by 45' I destroyed almost the whole allied fleet.
Yea capturing ships doesn't seem to happen as often as before (I was playing a version somewhere around 1.04 when this happened). I don't know if a patch did anything to lessen the chance of this happening or not.
