First off I enjoy the mod a lot, I play it pretty much it only. I like the historical aspect, and the fact that most of the de jure kingdoms and empires stay and exist throughout the game. However I feel that they might be just a bit too static in fact. Where are the plots for independence? Using France, HRE, and ERE as examples, In 300 years of game play I have never seen any break up, and if they do , its only to replace the king, and then they are back together again. I just feel that the mod lacks action because I the player and the only one expanding or contracting (if I lose wars). I have seen many crusades, but usually they are won, only to be lost during the next Jihad, which is fine IMO, however the main thing I don't like is the old empires which seem to remain forever unless I as the player choose to break them up.

Are you using EMF? It has a fairly spectacular empire collapse mechanic.

Also, if you want to shake things up, try giving specific leaders the "lucky" trait.

More importantly is how on earth have you managed to avoid the near constant chaos from rebellions created by the levy bug?
