Hi
I have been building my city up to a population of 156,000 without any real issues. All seemed well with all aspects of the city.
Then I started to get a population drop, at first I thought that it was a death wave. But the numbers of people dying seemed to drop with the numbers in population and yet the birth rate was much greater. However the influx of people in to the city was dropping massively.
I ended up around 130,000 but with no full cemeteries, not one skull and crossbones to be seen. No health issues (99% health) and yet a massive influx drop.
I needed to use the automatic bulldozer mod (V2) just to keep up with the huge amount of abandoned buildings etc. I kept the game running at 3x speed and as I type this I am back up to 154,000.
the above shows the death rate dropping.
The birth and death rate....
Population drop....
Influx peak and drop....
Population now back to 154,000
Population mix....
Population mix now at 154,000....
I am using, since this map was started, the Citizen Lifecycle Rebalance v2.1 mod. I have not changed its settings since the start of play but I'm struggling to know why the huge drop and now as I finish typing this I'm back up to 155,000 but with no death wave and no outside connection changes.
The Influx screen looks just the same btw, I'm not sure how that is supposed to function, I have not needed to look at it previously....
Influx at 157,000...
The birth rate peak at the end might have been due to me frantically zoning a low residential area to try and alleviate at what I thought was a death wave at first.
I tend to play with the game on 3x and also zone quite slowly, as I like to plan out the city and infrastructure etc in between small zones areas.
Maybe influx has zero to do with this but I'm not sure how to explain the drop from 156,000 to 130,000 but no deaths or issues with the city.
Thanks for any ideas.
