2. @BiB: I don't know very much about Dutch cities and provinces in 1419 and I don't have such a useful atlas like you, but I am willing to correct my changes, if you tell me the correct names of 1419 of all Dutch cities and provinces. And don't make such mistakes as with Cleve

@beowulf: Do you have a proof for this? Can you maybe tell me the source?

I didn't make a mistake. In German now it is Kleve. U said native languages, not the language back then as those aren't the same. Esp as for example the Dutch ones they're all current ones and not even close to what it was back then. So I made the assumption u only had the one mistake instead of tons of them. Silly me.

Deserteur, a couple of issues regarding the names in the Iberian Peninsula:

- Gibraltar should be named Gebel - Al - Tarik, but only during it's muslim stage. In christian hands, it should be Gibraltar.
- Nafarroa province is OK, but don't change the country name to Nafarroa under any circumstance. It should remain being Navarra.
- You moved the galician capital from A Coruña (which is it's correct name) to Santiago (in full, Santiago de Compostela). I think that this is not fully correct, as Coruña was far more important from the XVIth century onwards, being Santiago the medieval capital. If I were you, I would keep the capital in Coruña, correcting the spelling.

Well, some are ok, but those Quebec northern territory names are weird (because no one was there and got discovered by English explorers). Anyways, I'll look into it. Cheers!

@BiB: No offense from me, I was just joking For the Dutch provinces and cities ... it was not my fault I have just written what one of those Dutch people in the Scenario forum told me.

@The Larch: I will correct the country name of Navarra. I just thought that it would be the same. The same for Gibraltar, I will turn it back to Gibraltar because I am not such a freak that I can script a namechange as event I am still undecided what to do with Santiago and Coruna ... I will tell you tomorrow when I have taken a drink about it If you know about Basque language can you give me the correct names of Bearn and its city and Pamplona or are they correct in the game?

Well The Price of Wales AFAIK was always crowned at Caernarfon...the real population base is in the south near...Swansea, Cardiff etc..

APULIA IS NOT AQUILA, that's a city in central italy.

the region is Campania+Lucania+Puglia+Calabria,
I don't really know how to call it, maybe you could
use even ITALIA or one of the 4 names above, but not
Aquila!!!.
In the classic age it was MAGNA GRECIA but it's a bit too out of time...
maybe bear in mind that
the country of NAPLES = Regno delle Due Sicilie =
= "Kingdom of the 2 Sicilys" = the continental part and the island

Yup, Åbo and Vasa are better names than Turku and Vaasa, since Swedish was spoken by the majority in those towns back in the EU days.

@Van Barel: For the Spanish names my answer is no, because we already discussed this in another thread. But for this Italian province, I have recorrected it to Apulia until someone can tell me a name. In my atlas the region from Foggia down to Lecce is called Apulia, so what is Apulia in Italian?
For the Napoli case you have to talk to someone from the EEP or ECP folks, they do this stuff.

@Styrbiorn and beowulf: But which language was spoken by the majority in these provinces? Swedish or Finnish?

@Mad King: really? ... but what did the French speak instead? Latin? I am not very good in French history (just the revolution ) so maybe you can explain this to me.

@the Larch: What was Coruña originally called? "A Coruña" or "La Coruña"? I am planning to change the city to Coruña becaise it is a coastal province and Santiago was not a the coast.

Should I rename Saragosa to Zaragoza?

today the "heel" of the Italian peninsula is called "Puglia"
but in those days it was really "Apulia".
Hard to find the correct name for the region depicted in EU2
since it encompasses different regions.
