In the gfx/map folder there is a folder of icons named landscape. They obviously look like they go on the game's map, but I have never seen them in actual use.

Well, I was really just asking about the "landscape" folder within the "gfx" folder, and if it had any purpose, BUT your landscaping in the link you gave looks really really cool!!! I just recently fiddled around with the colors for terrains to make them a little more pleasing to me, but whatever you have done to upgrade the terrain grafix makes any of those changes look like child's play!
