In my current UK game (abandonned all continental holdings when the game started), it's the good old all out war in the Americas for securing nice borders (from 1500 to 1640, I think I was at peace maybe 30 years)
The French/Portuguese/Spanish AI is showcasing a remarkable tendancy to keep colonizing North America, which is of course understandable, even if it land them being blockaded for 20 years at the time. What I don't understand is the colonization strategy : They colonized one ''oceanic'' province then immediately go ''inland'', sometimes 2-3 provinces deep. Even when the ''ocean'' province is removed, they can colonize some more provinces....
