Land taken becomes Chinese

As seen in the picture my english troops are now standing in Chinese territory which used to be Sinkiang. If I am not mistaken when you take over land and you have a nonaggression pact with a country the land i turned over. how ever I thought this was only if they were at war with the target as well. In this case I am going against Soviet and Sinkiang is a vassal or part of the faction. first step into the territory and it becomes Chinese.

Is this how it should be? or should it be like as long as they are not at war with the same target you keep the land?

the reason for asking this is this is halting my march into soviet from this angel now. I had thought it possible that while they where held back by the allied forces at Soviet-Poland border front, I could start pushing though Sinkiang up through soviet.

Just wanted to discuss the question whether or not a country should be at war with the same country to get land turned over to them. Maybe before the timeline of this game but not even in this time line has this land been Chinese so I do not think it should be this way.

Am not able to push though Chinese territory as they are at peace with the Soviet

It happens. As upcoming patch will make taking uncontrolled territory more expensive will also contribute to the border gore.

Prorably you have military access with China, so they get territory if it's their core.

That might be it but that seems like bad diplomacy. So not their territory and because we have made a military access agreement, then suddenly all cores of a country if you take that from an enemy it becomes their territory.

In which access agreement would you normally consent to give land away?
An access agreement is for access not for giving away land if you take it from an enemy you shouldn't suddenly in the middle of a war have to say hey guys we go each our way we can't fight here any more cause we took it from you but now this is considered your buddys territory and you wouldn't wanna fight him too right?

This should not happen in the middle of the war, at least we could agree to that if we should turn over the territory it should be after the war not in the middle of the war. A place we just fought should not just suddenly become a place you could not keep fighting.

I would like to see two countries in the middle of a war agree that they couldn't suddenly attack there anymore because we took it from you and now it is another country's land.
