is it just me or do they appear full the minute you build it? Wouldn't that not make sense? I really liked the idea of zoning land fills like in sim city 4.

Will the land fill grow and take up more space as your city grows? Not exactly sure whats up here. The land fills don't look right either. The ones I see are giant hills.

Come on people, pay attention. It's been in every video where they've ever placed the dumps, here are some new examples:
http://youtu.be/sJ5cCcQm0QU?t=12m27s
http://youtu.be/VMf6EO73ryk?t=16m20s

He's talking about the visual, they're already full of rubbish when you place them because that's the model. No-one cares, but apparently he does.

Its 2015, you'd think they could learn to correctly code garbage dumps being full or empty. THey figured it out in sim city 4, gee, that was a long time ago.

There is no excuse for this. The simulation/AI should know by the days added up how much garbage the city is producing.

I'd much rather have them concentrate on gameplay than this garbage. (Pun intended.) I don't care if the landfill is the coolest thing ever, if the gameplay isn't there then what's the point? (See also: SimCity 5.)

God another bitching thread before the game comes out.

Once again.

This game is not by Billion Dollar Company EA/Maxis.
This game is $24
This is the first of this type of game by these developers (City Builder)
This is being created more old school as in they are releasing 1.0 and continuing to work on it. Clearly there is a demand for what there is in game value now so they have decided to release it in March. I think it was a good idea myself with Cities XXL being nothing but exact game with slight performance to the if you could all it AI/Simulation I think this game was perfect to release now.

Nothing wrong with bring up feedback but how about we make that once we have the game in our hands and then give out our feedback that is very critical of the game.

As far as I'm concerned, and with respect to each person's emo-meter, I'm really not as emotionally invested in some of these extrapolations/deductions as a lot of people seem to be. This is only due to the fact that I have seen so much discrepancy between game release and pre-release info that I just stopped expecting anything. In other words, just counting the days! Whatever will happen will happen. However, one piece of positive element seems to be the openness of the core game for modding and further development.

Dude, its not that hard to code it in. Has nothing to do with being a billion dollar company.

Also, you seem to be the one going after everyone who has something negative or constructive about the game. I'm just tired of reading your sh*t on every post acting like you run the damn company. Your just some dude who's overly excited about the game. It doesn't give you the right to start lashing out at people because you don't like how they handle their business. Get over yourself dude.

I think they're interesting but I'm not expecting miracles. Hopefully the game is solid, if it turns out not to be then don't buy it. I won't be losing any money either way as I got my copy as a gift, so I'm just hoping it'll be good at this point.

Nothing wrong with bring up feedback but how about we make that once we have the game in our hands and then give out our feedback that is very critical of the game.

i'm concerned about details and designs, others are concerned about simulation.
so people like me are more into "aethestics" about the game. of course eveyrone has their concerns but if we are here it's because i'm interested in it, that's all.

i know post launch they will do things and support the game, but as a city builder gamer i can relate to what i see and play.
as for an example, when you see simcity with 2x2 square sizes making huge ploppables it's...funny, it could work in this game, but when you see city skylines making small ploppables in big maps i see them more in simcity (water pump, garbage, airport, etc...)
also not graphically pointed, but certain ploppables in sim city are well designed, as you can see on the recycling center, which i find appealing to the eye in details, that's all.

Simcity-144.jpg

so i'm concerned about this

also, no offense, but i see you pointing out the price always "being about 24 game only" this...is just disrespectful to the devs to keep saying that, and that's my point. because they are passionate about what they do, and 24 dollars or 80 dollars the game would deliver the same, so stop pricing your comments, really it's not you, i see you more cool blood that a hot head when i read you on other posts.

if the forums exists it's because we are allowed to speak about constructive criticism that includes "bitching" as you call it.
also i don't rely on price, because it would say that "okay, let's make it 24 dollars because..it doesn't have everything..." i think it's not true. i don't know why it's cheaper than any other game, and i'm curious about it. why is this cheaper than other games that are not as good on the paper/screen?

well i don't know, and i'm eager to ask about it.

i have a stupid idea about it, really stupid because i don't think it is that :D but unity is a free engine, and after the first 100 000 collected, you require to buy the licence, haha that is funny.

anyway....so yeah why that price actually?
