One thing I will miss yet not miss was the battle detail popups from HOI3. I'll miss it because it gave some great information. I won't miss it because once the war on the western front started, it just became too much to try and read them all and an annoyance.

Is anything available for the individual land battles to get a good overview of what is happening? All I've seen is the war summary with casualties listed for each faction. I was hoping for something a little more detailed (with a potential timeline) so I can see how many battles I'm winning and the casualties per to give me a better overview of how the war is going. Perhaps there is I just haven't seen it yet.

An amazing improvement (thank you paradox!) is the clickable icons for naval battles. It gives a great overview of where naval battles occurred and what happened. It doesn't clutter up your screen and you can choose to read them or not. No more "You have sunk X convoys and X escorts." popping up all the time.

I think the clickable icons similar to the naval battles could work for the land battles as well.
