LAN multiplayer with the same activation code

Hello everybody!

I know this might not be the most correct location for this thread, but I guess this section of the forum is more popular compared to the HOI 3 - Multiplayer's one.

My dumb question is the following: is it possible to play a LAN game if I have HOI 3 installed on 2 different PC, with the same checksum, and without using Steam to launch the game?

I'm planning to simulate the European WW2 with historical OOBs and, due to the AI unpredictability, I would like to manually control the countries involved in the main operations (Ger-Pol, Ger-Fra...).

You can even run the game twice on the same computer, in windowed mode so you can tab back and forth...

I would like to but I have to take screenshots periodically... and I've already tried taking screenshots in windowd mode and it captures also the background (my desktop). But anyway, thanks for your reply Vector!

There's this tool, it's called crop. You can find it commonly in photoshop, powerpoint or even paint.

Even then, there are programs that specifically screenshot windows while in windowed mode, which I use in MP games to quickly capture. MSI Afterburner is a tweaking tool that includes this functionality for free.
