Lag when moving cusor

I have just updated the game to the lasted patch and it seems as I move the cursor around the map it causes the game to lag.

It is when you move the cursor between provinces. It causes the game just jump ever so slightly i know its not as bad as some issues people are having but its frustrating non the less.

The specs of the laptop are not an issue it is brand new and ran the demo without these problems.

Not sure, we're not seeing other reports like this. Wat version and checksum show on the main game menu?

please post a dxdiag.txt (you can delete everything after the "Sound devices" section for brevity), settings.txt, system.log files (you'll need to rename the .log files to .txt to upload).

Thanks for the response. I have tried re installing a couple of times to no avail.

What version and checksum show on the main game menu?

That video driver is a year old, check with Dell and Intel for a newer one.

And you could try lowering the graphics, edit settings.txt to say draw_trees=no and even low_res_textures=yes

Problem solved. I updated to the latest vid drivers also there were a few items not installed from windows update. But that seems to have solved the problem and it is running so much smoother now.
