I'm running the demo under Vista and while I'm not getting any real lag, the map scrolling is definitely slightly choppy. I'll have a deeper look at the performance later tonight

I can see a change. Moving around the map is slightly better. It doesn´t lag so much, but remains still quite choppy.podcat said:to try and narrow down the problem place mouse cursor over an area of the bottom bar where you get no tooltips (this is important) and scroll the map using the keyboard. do you see a change in lag?

HavoCast said:Tried that... And it works. Tooltips are the problem?
STGeorge said:Any update Podcast.... I sent my diagX friday and still haven't heard anything?
moravian said:Podcat, did you have a look at my dxdiag? It was mailed also on Friday last week. Good to hear, that you have resolved that main lag problem for a patch. But me and a few others here seem to still have performance issues even with your trick.
podcat said:EDIT: oh, and the lag due to tooltips should be fixed in the patch.
Banquet said:That's great to hear, thanks Podcat
Edit - I just realised you said 'patch' is that likely to be an immediate release after Rome gets released?
