I'm afraid our britches won't be calmed as long as this particular lag ferret is scrabbling around inside them and making rips that desperately need patching!

It's the Ottoman Empire that is the real problem for me. The other countries have a slight lag but are still playable.

I have laggs like: every 2 seconds ( ithink) game stops for 0.1 or 0.2 seconds , my requirements are beyond recomended (HD 7750 ,G2010 ,4gb Ddr3)

There's currently being worked on a patch, if the problems with lag/gfx stuttering persists after the next patch then please report back.

As for a patch release date, in general there are no release dates announced until very close before the patch gets released.

Well i am learning to live with it, it is such a pain though playing as england when i have like 20% rebellion chance across the board.

Oh yeah, well. As for me, just because I took a bunch of territories to the Abbasids/Timurids, the whole byzantine nobility/peasantry has been burning the whole damn empire to the ground from Aragon to Armenia. It'd be fun to struggle with it, if it wasn't for this lag issue whose fix will obviously not be released any time before I have to go back to studies. Well, to be fair I should be glad that you devs even take this issue into account and in spite of my rant I am actually relieved that you have found a way to prevent this, but this is really getting frustrating nonetheless.

That is not what I said nor meant, to prevent disappointments or delayed release dates, patch release dates are not always given. There is being worked on the patch, so keep an eye on the forums for any announcements.

its just a bug i not wanna have a big patch just a bugfix and i want it THIS month

I have found a way to reduce the problem. All I did was increase the effectiveness of harsh treatment on rebels, and reduced the revolt risk for occupation of an enemy province. There is still a bit of stutter, but most of it is fixed for me. This has made my Sweden save, where I am invading Lithuania, playable.

Hopefully this helps negate most of the problem for the rest of you guys until an official patch is released.

I hope that does help for some people with these problems, but I was planning to spend this week recording the game and making a Let's Play series of it. Noone will watch a Let's Play where the player is effectively cheating. I'll Let's Play some Total War instead.

I wouldn't call it cheating, ok maybe a bit, but as you still have to use mil power to harsh treatment rebels, there is still the annoyance of the rebels. There were other ways to do it, I just didn't want to effectively remove rebels from the game entirely.

The rebel thing causing it makes sense. My England game from the first start date was running fine until the reformation hit. And now I have high percentage of revolt chance in all of my protestant provinces and the lag returned.

It really is a game breaking bug. I hope the patch comes out soon.

I planned to spend my weekend with EUIV! Well luckily the Prem starts this weekend too so my own personal revolt risk shall remain lowish.

And I can confirm that at least my lag/stutter is completely caused by revolt risk from what I've been playing.

Had to modify the files to have no chance of rebels... ever...
It is cheating, the game is not meant to be played like this, but at least now I can play at decent speeds until the patch arrives.
Otherwise it would have been a looong weekend.

Well the very least you could do, for us sizeable people who are experincing this lag. Is to isolate whatever files that fixes this lag and give them to us. I mean, this really is a gamebreaking bug and causing alot of heartache among people like myself, who bought this game with high hopes. But those hopes were soon squashed with this lag problem.

/agree. I knew i should have waited until the steam winter sale. /sigh. Is the month ticking over giving any1 else lag issues as well? I put down all my settings and I have way higher than recommended settings.

yes, but i hadnt even noticed untill everyone else mentioned it, i mean it is calcualting the income for every single province in the whole world on that date and all the other monthly stuff, i thought a bit of lag was to be expected.

just to add, i've been playing for a while now, and am confident that revolt risk is causing my problems, so looking forward to patch when it comes. isnt game breaking for me atm, pretty much used to it now but i would much prefer it gone.
