I love the game but at least 30% of the matches I play (mostly 3vs3/4vs4) have serious lag and rubberbanding issues. For example games running something like 0.80x speed or constantly stopping/slowing and catching up again. This happens consistently even when all players have "green" pings. Also the people I play with are having the same problems.

afaik the connection indicator is only for your network state. a player with a potato computer may start to lag, especially in the late game, and everyone will play in slow-motion to compensate. the solution is for eugene to start using hosted servers instead of p2p, or to host your lobbies as a dedicated server once the binaries are released

Have the same issue every game, but only for the first minute after deployment phase when the units are moving up. The game will rubberband like 5-10 times then smooths out as the game goes on.

Have had it happen sporadically in 3v3/4v4. Sometimes just for the first few minutes of the match, sometimes from the middle of the match all the way towards the end. We spent a lot of time triple-checking everything on our end, but couldn't find anything.

It even happened in 3v3/4v4 against the AI. And we're all on gaming rigs that have 0 problems running this game at extreme settings, so hardware performance isn't the problem either.

Silly system if everyone has to suffer when someone is playing with a potato.

I SUFFER from it as well .You need to know that there are players from all over the world, but i guess normally the server is in Europe. So high ping, lag, and packet loss are inevitable for those far from Europe.

Still having pretty bad problems, but now the rubberbanding seems to be mostly gone but the good old slow motion games are back stronger than ever. Maybe ~15% of the games.

10 v10 are dedicated servers. 1v1 to 4v4 are not. If you have slow motion in 1v1 to 4v4, that's because someone have a potato computer or bad net/ping.
The bad connection can be spotted from the ping indicator but the game punishing all players because one of them has too high graphic settings or a shitty computer really sucks.

I play a lot of games. From 2v2 right through to large scale.

Don't see this that often. When I do, it is usually someones internet connection or just terrible PC.

If you are seeing this a lot, do you regularly play with some friends.

One of them might have a horrible PC or be dropping a lot of packets with their internet connection.

Unfortunately not that much that can be done about it other then preventing people with terrible internet or bad PCs from actually playing.

Exactly anything other than the official servers is Peer-2-Peer connectivity.

What you want is for the host to have a stable (no packet loss) strong upload speed. Any other issues is because the players connected to the host (and each other) have a bad connection so everyone else gets affected.

I wish the game gave you more feedback on why there's poor performance. Other games will pop out a message like 'Wehraboo66's settings are too high for the game', or have a more reliable indicator of who's got a poor network connection.

Also a vote kick option would be great. Needs to be a simple majority (so in a 4v4, it's 5 votes needed to kick).

It's a very general issue since the release. It was not the case before, at least for good pings.

My little finger tells me the new maps or/and units are the cause.

All in all, the release on the 23rd of May definitely feels wrong. Releasing 2 division once every two week was cool, and the devs could have kept this rythm untill 6th of June.

Now, this "rushed" release even gives a feeling of "something is broken". I had great hopes, and I suddenly fear the devs are not actually commited to making the game reach wide success (player base being split too much, AI takeover, no reagequit/report policy, etc). Or else, there are financial issues. But, ok, I'm off topic already.

Plz devs, do fix these laggs.
