SOOOOOO... At the risk of sounding like an Idiot. For the life of me, I can't find the sprites folder at all - even in vanilla HOI. Can someone give the path?

I have just d/l v0.92 and with sprites, it is still lagging.

I know that I can solve this issue by deleting sprites folder.
But:
- all other mods I have tried work well with sprites on my pc, so I tend to consider it is a TRP issue
- I prefer using sprites (and I believe I'm not the only one).

Does someone will try to fix that or you consider it is normal?

Nope, deleting the sprites folder is the only solution that helps speed it up. This is not a TRP issue but a PC issue and what it can handle. TRP has over 10,000 events which is why you see that slow down. No other mod has that many events.

Any idea of PC configuration requirement for playing with sprites?
AMD 2800 & 1.5 GB RAM is not enough.

No clue, this is a mod its not like I have 10k I can run down to the local computer store and buy a Dual Core Extreme processor to test it out with hehe.

Don´t worry even a dual core cpu (6600) and 4 GB ram isn´t enough (which actually is my configuration). :wacko:

The french Mod33 has a compareable number of events but i didn´t have such a lag as in TRP. Maybe only people who like sprites (like me) consider this an issue :(

I also don´t have a clue what sprites have to do with the amount of events, i mean a modern CPU can handle millions of operations per sec but scanning some eventfiles and displaying a 50x100 pix sprite drops performance !?!?

I just don´t get it :confused:

Deletet the Sprites folder. When i play Jap or Ger its still VERY laggy! less problems with USA.
I'll try to play more then two months, but this will take me some time :p

edit: no chance. its impossible to play... :(
