I too hope that there won't be another vehicle dlc after the fourth one, but I don't think that the dlc vehicles hinder the development of CiM too much.

Correct. The guys that work on the new DLC are completely different than the guys that work on the code, even in a small company like CO.
So, the art department can work on new DLC until 2020, new patches and other improvements will still be done.

I guess I'll post in this thread, too--a poor frame rate thread always seems to be at the top when I check up on the forum. I admit that I haven't played the game since it first came out because I only get about 10 fps on average. A new map might start out at 30, but it quickly disintegrates after a few lines are placed. I've attached my detailed system specs below, but the basics are below.

I've been holding out, hoping that someone will figure this mystery. I know that it's got to be hard as an independent developer, but this really should have been addressed with beta testing.

My CPU is barely being utilized while running this game--surfing the internet, playing flash games, and watching high-def movies seem to use more CPU than this game.

I really like this game, and I really want to be able to play it and recommend it to friends. Developers, if you want me to send you screenshots, cities, or more details, please let me know. I'm sure there are a lot of forum users who would also help if you reached out. Perhaps you should even set up a Google-Docs spreadsheet where users with problems can fill in some data. Then maybe this would help identify a trend among all of us which would help get to the root of the problem.

I would offer to set this up for you, but I'm really not sure what data would be the most useful.

Here are the basic specs for my computer:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 450 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Card name: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5600/5700 Series
Display Memory: 2705 MB
Dedicated Memory: 1014 MB
Driver File Version: 8.17.0010.1065 (English)
Driver Version: 8.820.2.0
DDI Version: 10.1
Driver Model: WDDM 1.1
Driver Date/Size: 1/13/2011 05:00:24, 708608 bytes

Ah come on Mafia, you seem to have seen the code if you can say that the pathfinding routines are simple. I highly doubt that and that the routines are simple.
If tried to explain to you several times, that the pathfinding is pretty complex in this game and in no way comparable to RTS games. This ain't RTS. And even in those games the pathfinding is not "simple".

That doesn't mean, that there isn't room for improvement, but it's not as simple as you think it is.
