This is my collection of submodules currently updated for Elder Kings version 0.2.3.5, CKII version 3.0.1.1
Attached file is below, or direct download here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/o1j9dolvfqute1d/Lady of Pain's EK Modules.zip?dl=0
Installation:
1. Choose between Modules Complete Pack or a selection of individual EK modules. Using everything is redundant and may cause instability.
2. Unzip the desired module(s) into your CKII mod folder, typically under My Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod
3. Launch CKII and navigate to the Mods tab. Ensure all desired EK modules are active in addition to Elder Kings itself.
Foreword: These modules have been tested for the Interregnum bookmark. They should function in later bookmarks, but may have unpredicted interactions.
Better DLC Portraits
Daedric Consorts
All Daedric faiths allow at least 1 consort, for male and female rulers. More Daedric faiths may also intermarry, in a mostly lore-friendly way.
Rationale is that Daedric faiths have relatively few marriage opportunities, and sometimes barely any. Consorts are also fun to have.
Easier Elections
Electors under Feudal Elective and Nordic Moot are considerably likelier to support the vote of a ruler with whom they have positive relations.
Rationale is that AI calculations for elective are frustrating and feel illogical, and most other government types allow heir designation anyway. This brings elective on par.
Good Infrastructure
The province modifier associated with 'Upgrade Province Infrastructure' now gives a slight % tax bonus instead of a hefty penalty.
Rationale is that infrastructure enhances trade to the point that it is profitable even to the province owner and would offset maintenance costs.
Neutered Tribunal
There is no landed Archcanon of the Tribunal Temple on Vvardenfell. Defensive reinforcement frequency and strength have been severely curtailed as well, fielding only a fraction of the troops.
Rationale is that the Tribunal was disgustingly overpowered and felt unfair to play against without megablobbing your own empire. They would also launch nonstop inquisitions after obtaining footholds outside Morrowind.
No Akavir
The following landmasses were removed: Akavir, Quey, and Yokuda. Remaining landmasses are Tamriel, Summerset, Pyandonea, and Atmora.
Rationale is that the removed landmasses rarely interact with Tamriel, and the additional AI calculations and courtier bloat slow CPU performance/turn speed.
No Tiber
Tiber Septim will never be born and won't form the Tamrielic Empire.
Rationale is that this rude bastard usurps a throne in Cyrodiil, blobs uncontrollably, and can ruin a playthrough in that region and the entire continent.
Empire Be Gone
All formable empires and de jure kingdoms have been removed from Tamriel. This includes suppressing Tiber Septim's birth, from the module above.
Rationale is that empires and de jure kingdoms both blob rapidly and roll over smaller titular kingdoms and duchies, making a playthrough less enjoyable as a middle power. The map is kept more dynamic without them.
Weaker Cyrodiil
The Colovian Estates and Heartlands are only able to directly call tribal vassals to war, no longer feudal vassals.
Rationale is that these two are uniquely stable due to overwhelming military advantage and tend to overpower neighbors, which is especially apparent if the Empire Be Gone module above is active.
