Recently I've run into problem, while playing Stellaris. During play-through, system (windows 7) suddenly informs me that it runs into risk of running out of memory "save your work, you risk longi data". Game actually crashed once. It usually happens later into game (more than fifty years), or if I've been running game for too long (more than an hour).
Can I fix it by going to systempropertiesadvanced, and increasing amount of virtual memory?
Its currently set on 1371MB, but it says that advised amount is 5950MB. It did not mess with the setting before, its currently automated and managed by system. Its possible that system changed the amount to so low one, since recently I accidentally ran out of HDD space.
Would there be any trade-offs of setting it up to higher amount (other than less disk-space)?
If free space is no problem now, should I set pagefile.sys size to non-standard, and both starting amount and maximum amount to the same, higher, number?
