And if possible make the AI under NO circumstances attempt to conquer <34 infra provinces, cuz that is plain suicide as far as the as the AI is concerned.

So it is.

I remember the last game I played. Ran Germany and invaded Russia allied with the Finns. The Finns had a great war, up to the point that their front line hit a 10-infrastructure province. They repeatedly attacked, repeatedly lost most or all of their men though attrition, and so ruined their army. You all know how few replacements Finland gets!

Another problem I am having with low-infrastructure provinces is that I cannot find a message option to warn me when my troops are taking losses. When I must watch several fronts, it sometimes happens that my men take horrific casualties before I realize their plight.

Given this lack of game engine support for low-infrastructure provinces, I am seriously tempted to propose that they all be upgraded. Yes, I am quite aware that there will be a tad too many army groups in darkest Africa, but the game has simply got to cooperate with itself.

I took military control of Italy in a 1.06 game recently and discovered that it was sending 6 corps, including most of its armour, to Ethiopia. They'd made it as far as a zero infrastructure province in the middle of the Sahara where they all died due to lack of water to cook their pasta. I agree that this is too stupid to be borne.

Hm, even Infra-0-provinces can be captured without losses. Send your unit (perhaps a rider with even 0 org) in and out (using waypoints) and done.
But a good solution would be to do 2 changes to the engine:
1. Units are reduced to 1 str and 0 org and therefore easy to overrun.
2. Units can not be restrengthed in such provinces. Or in prov's with less than 34 infra to a max of the infra-level.

So the AI can not really use those deserts etc. to start an attack from there but they can go through and reinforce their troops on the other side.

The problem with units dying without warning could be solved if a list would be available with all units who are:
1. not in supply
2. dying 'cause of lacking infrastructure (or being at sea for too long)

There sort of is a list. You can get the report of all of your divisions/planes/ships and then sort by strength. See where you have units with low strength, go to those units and determine what the problem is. If it is low infra or at sea to long then move to location with infra >34 or send to nearest port.

Agreed.

Maybe the could add a message that would inform you when a unit drops below 25 strength (or some other appropriately small #). If you want to know then leave the message on (or with pause), if you don't then turn the message off.

Another thing that would be nice would be if you could click on a leader/unit/province in a report and be taken back to the map at that location. I realize you can do the same with the find province feature but a fast way would be nice.
